But also, Dan didn’t seem to keen on bigs. He seemed to think it would be better to trade for one or sign one than to draft one because of how long it takes to develop them.

But again, maybe I’m just overthinking it. To me it seems like we’re going guard/wing with our pick at 9, then maybe a big in the second round, which in my opinion is a smart strategy based on how this class sets up.

I like Poeltl, he’s a constant professional but with Scottie, I don’t think we need a C at the high post to run things or make passes. We need a proper high flying C who has potential to spread the floor

It feels like they're hoping for maybe a specific guard or wing to drop down to 9. Otherwise, I'd personally trade down with Atlanta for 13 & 22.

That’s fair, but I’m just going off of what Tolzman said. And we know Darko likes a hub at the 5. To me, it seems like if they go big they’ll go for one of Queen, Sorber, Wolf, or Yang.

Like, I see the appeal of a rim running lob threat, but if I’m using a pick on a guy like that I’d rather take YKN much later.

Trading with Atlanta is a dream scenario for me. I’d take one of Bryant/Coward/Fleming at 13, and then Yang at 22.

8.Fears or Tre
9.Fears or Tre

^ That would be my dream scenario if some how one of Tre/Fears fell to us.

Ever since they tried shipping Mark Williams, ive been thinking Maluach to Charlotte. You're on to somethin.

Yeah thats how i believe it will go if i had to guess....I think people will be shocked and it will be unexpected....But i think Bailey don't want to go to Hornets, If Edgecombe is off the board....Maluach makes alot of sense if they want to move Williams....Mal also fits with Melo/Miller/Bridges alot more than the other prospects on the board...

i think the shocker is maluach to the sixers because embiid will be lucky to play 40 games next year.

9. Toronto Raptors: Asa Newell, F, Georgia

Newell’s range is trending toward the lottery, according to sources around the league. It’s because of his immense versatility on defense as a 6-foot-9 rim protector who can also comfortably switch screens. He has springs in his legs, regularly slamming lobs and swatting shots. And if he ever develops his jumper, he has a chance to exceed all expectations.

I predicted that Asa Newell maybe our target...His shot looks alot more advanced than any big in our area of the draft...And if we want a stretch big....I think he would be the pick....But thing is i think we could trade back to get him....Maybe ATL at 13 if we get word he will be available.

Alright, let's see how the fanbase is feeling leading up to the draft: https://strawpoll.com/Q0Zp7Ndb6gM

With the 9th pick, the Toronto Raptors select...

I've always had the feeling Philly would draft Maluach to backup Embiid if they stayed at 5 or dropped to 6, so I get why they tanked hard with all the injuries piling up near the end of the season. It also secured a better chance at maybe lucking into Flagg and not losing the pick to OKC.

Just not sure if they pick him now since they moved up to 3.

that is the problem with some of these tweets...Tolzman continued the sentence by saying they could also look at a center that is the opposite of Jakob in their style of play.

It's a short video. I suggest everyone just watch it.

Replace Yang with that 2027 Bucks/Pelicans 1st and we're gucci.

I think Sixers ultimately take VJ to help Maxey guard in the backcourt and also give them another ball handler/playmaker because that team is weak there.
2019 Eastern Conference All Stars

Derozan
Lowry
Ibaka
Valanciunas
Van Vleet
Delon Wright
Lebron
Embiid

There are only 2 teams in the league that rank in the top 6 in offensive and defensive efficiency: the Golden State Warriors and the Toronto Raptors.

I agree.

Top 3 is probably going to be Cooper, Harper, VJ.

After that, it's anyone's guess.

Looks like all those mocks with Kon to Charlotte had some legs.

When we listen to Tolzman, stuff can be interpreted in all directions which is exactly what he wants. The more unpredictable the team is, the higher the value of the #9 pick is.

Also we cannot always take every word to the letter but because sometimes the goal is to lead everyone astray on purpose .

That is said the one element I found intriguing was how he say that players that can’t play defence aren’t going to play with Darko.

That one seem really specific.

Like you say out loud that we all knows that Darko doesn’t play player that can’t play D.

And then you draft a player that can’t play D?

Would seems a bit weird I think
