Any hot takes on Kobe Brown?

Saw him a few times. Didn't seem to pop on the defensive end, gets streaky on offense. I disagree with that video claiming defense is a strength. Personally I wouldn't touch him until mid-end 2nd.

Lillard watching the Thompson twins and media asking Scoot about playing alongside Lillard is all smokescreen. That pick is getting traded baby.

Scotto: A big part of Portland building around Lillard is having the third overall pick. That made them one of the winners on lottery night. When you talk to most executives, this is a top-three draft that you feel pretty good about where you’re getting an All-Star caliber player. Rival executives have been closely monitoring Portland believing that the third overall pick is potential trade bait if the Blazers try to improve the roster and compete with Lillard. Portland has received inquiries from various teams interested in the third pick, I’m told. So far, Portland is listening, but the sense is the Blazers are comfortable taking either Scoot Henderson or Brandon Miller if either player falls to them, depending on what Charlotte does at pick two.

POR wants to force Lillard's hand to ask out. They will just draft one of the top 3 and call it a day.

If that’s the case then Idk how they’re gonna unload that Lillard contract. It’s gonna be interesting.

Yes. If they trade him I think the return will be much closer to Rudy Gay than Rudy Gobert.

Someone will definitely take Lillard and his contract, it depends on how much value they extract, and multiple teams will be interested so someone will pay up with something that accommodates both teams.

This.

They're keeping the 3rd, especially if its Scoot.

Dame won't be impressed by athleticism, he wants to see if they got legit game or not. Then proceed to tell management "not good enough".

Bufkin is a better prospect to me. He doesn't have 1 elite skill but no significant weakness either. Bufkin is a better finisher and projects as a better shooter (85% from FT)

I think it's upside. He has the appeal of a potential difficult shot maker. He looks the part but the shot wasn't falling last year.

Bufkin didn't really take over games much, whereas George was immediately the man for Baylor despite them having some good college guards. Bufkin was more efficient, George's body looks a bit thicker. Sort of a classic case of an efficient #2 or #3 scorer vs a less efficient #1, and what you prefer and how much you think teams were scheming to stop George vs at Michigan they were worried about Dickinson.

Definitely looks thicker with way better downhill & transition ability, deeper bag which is one of Kobe's weaknesses. His bag wasn't deep enough and picked up his dribble often times, far away from the basket.

Still I'm a Kobe fan, i'm good with either or

He may have had the best year of his career last season. Contract won’t age well but he’ll give 2-3 years of top-20 play. Boston/Philly/Mavs/Lakers and the Bucks would all take that.

A Brown/Dame swap is pretty likely I think if they keep the pick. Not sure that the others have enough. Portland probably sends Brown right out for picks as well, maybe to Houston or Brooklyn.
