My goodness. I'll give Masai the benefit of the doubt on this one, but the amount of laughter after that pick brought back Bryan Colangelo memories...

This mystery agent sounds like the Ujiri of the agent world. He finds obscure talent in remote parts of the basketball world in the hopes they hit it big so he can attract bigger clients.

I'm 95% sure fran called him the brazilian KD because there's a youtube clip of him titled brazilian KD lol. They called giannis the greek KD too. Reality is, bruno has the perfect body to become an elite wing defender if he can bulk up and casey teaches him the ropes. If this kid can become anything like batum, i would be ecstatic.

Crazy how things come together.

Masai scouts and wants Giannis for Denver. Comes to Toronto and doesn't have a pick. Desperately tries to get one to draft Giannis. He's unable to. Hires the assistant GM of the team that spotted his talent. Trades the best paid player on Giannis' agent's payroll to perhaps the perfect place for Rudy to end up. Starts scouting another one of that same guy's clients. The guy who was there to pick Giannis the first time is now working with Masai to assess the closest thing in the world right now to Giannis.

And here we are.

It was meant to be. Bruno will end up better than Rudy and Giannis. Masai saved this tormented fan base.

I actually think Bruno's potential is much higher than Batum, although that would be great for this franchise.
