Why is everyone acting like FVV is a rookie who didn't win a championship and play a significant role? I'm baffled.

Not sure if that's it. I think some of us feel he isn't well suited to run the point on a full time basis, which makes him an undersized SG with limited abilities when not shooting 3's. As a point man with a high usage rate, we need to ask: does he put the other 4 guys in a position to succeed?

As far as your comment about Fred's significant role in the playoffs, he did indeed turn it on at precisely the right time. But why do we also forget how **** he was leading up to the midway point of Round 3? In 24 playoff games, he scored in double digits 9 times. Not trying to downplay his contributions but I'm not sure we all look at the full body of work.

Fred then went on to shoot 39% the following year in the playoffs as one of our "leaders". That leadership role will be increased this year.

I'm rooting for him but he still has a lot to prove.

Unless Gary Trent changes the way he plays, I think he's more of a 6th man than a starter. Him and Flynn can play the role FVV and Norm used to play. This team definitely needs another dynamic scorer - not just some guy who jacks up shots from everywhere like FVV. Maybe OG shocks us and shows up with a bunch of go to midrange moves.

we'll start him for now. he was putting up some really good shooting #'s when he started and before the covid outbreak.

Only problem is that his game doesn't flow well with the team offense as he's more of a Lou Williams type. He may adapt, but like I said, he'll need to change his style if he wants to stay a starter. As a 6th man he can get away with the inefficient chucking and win a 6th man award like Clarkson did.

Dragic is more likely to start as FVV isn't really a PG.

Hot take: Scottie is starting beside FVV when the season starts...

Shams Charania: Australia’s Aron Baynes was missing from the Boomers’ medal podium in Tokyo. Tough news: Sources say Baynes remains in the hospital with severe nerve damage in his neck, an injury more significant than initially diagnosed, and could miss the entire 2021-22 season. - praying for Baynes :(

Also had a big undefeated streak without Kyle in the lineup. He's a natural born leader(Alpha + good in interviews) and a solid 2 way player

41st in aggregate advanced metrics, 94th percentile in EPM, 2.9 BPM, 21.9 PER, .202 WS/48; I hate to break it to you, but Boucher’s a good basketball player.

Lol salami. He’s overrated and just remember when i said achiuwa will be eating his minutes

If it’s a development year, sure. Boucher’s only got one year left, and he’s 28; I hope Precious eats his minutes.

That doesn’t mean he’s a better basketball player right now.

Agreed. I think FVV/Trent backcourt is gonna be pretty bad. FVV needs another playmaker with him. Gary is still a work in progress with it comes to play-making and creating offense. He's just a flat-out shooter at this point.

I would not in any way be surprised to see Dragic in the starting Lineup with FVV. It just seems inevitable

It comes down to fit. I'm not giving power rankings of the prospects when I lay out the rotation, especially when looking at the bench. It's still up in the air and likely to change when the season starts.

Nurse will give it the natural time to progress.

Barnes running bench mob makes a lot of sense. He'll have more freedom to handle the ball and take more shots which is what we want for his development. Him starting means he's 4/5th option.
