That sounds like a challenging juggling effort for positional minutes. And yeah, that's a relatively short window, and you're not likely to be able to play those guys at the same time very much. So which one goes to the bench? It'd have to be Scottie. And then having an Ingram/Durant pair on D isn't super exciting either.

I just don’t trust Ingram as a second option given his health history and overall game. If he’s a third option it could work (KD would be the first option, Scottie the facilitator, Ingram the second scoring option but third in pecking order.

Not seeing a reason to put Scottie ahead of Ingram, who is a better scorer and not that dissimilar as a playmaker.
Theres zero reason at this moment in time.

Cam is hardly an upgrade to RJ and he's much older.

If you're trading RJ, you're doing it for a win-now player.

Not happening. Huge overpay. I’d argue we’re giving best player and 10 picks higher. It’s absurd. Only happens if it’s a straight up player swap and we know that’s not happening.

We might end up with Cam but that’s not the deal.

Ya it's a terrible trade... Getting the older injury prone player while trading down 10 picks.

If it is Giannis and Ingram, then that’s probably a slight longer window (maybe 3-4 years? MAYBE?) but in turn it costs us everything to get him, since Giannis is much younger than KD.

I'm laughing at all the "dont empty the cupboards" type comments. Did you guys watch the same team?!!?

RJ/Poetl/Gradey/9th pick/2028 1st for Durant.

Then swap Scottie for Garland. It's a small backcourt but Quickley is the same height at Donovan Mitchell. Maybe it works.

Quick/Garland/KD/Ingram. Maybe look at Naz Reid, Lopez or Capella.

No clue if any of this works on court or on paper. I'm just killing time. Also, KD will play until he's 40. Modern medicine + his style allows for this barring any more injuries.

RJ + Poeltl + Dick + 1 or 2 picks or pick swaps for KD.

Sign a FA center in the off season. Draft Sorber at 9.

IQ/Shead
KD/Walter
BI/Ochai
Scottie/Mogbo
FA/Sorber

Top 4 team in the East.

People that are scared to give up Barnes + a few FRPs for a legit top 3 player in the NBA are hilarious to me.....The team as is even with the 9th pick coming in are not a great team....We could maybe make the 2nd round next year if all things go well....But Barnes is not that guy....

If Giannis wants the Raptors and agrees to be here for at least 5+ years for the rest of his prime....You don't be scared to give up a few young guys who will never be as good as Giannis....Future picks may suck to give up but as long as Giannis is here for them picks they are in the 20s....

Giannis would be prolly the best or 2nd best player to wear a Raptors uniform ever....Him and Kawhi would be close...The difference here is you have Giannis for longer.

Sam Vecenie thinks Poeltl + RJ + Dick for KD gets it done.

Our Center position already sucks so not a fan of trading our only Center. Currently, we need to add a Center in addition to Poeltl, let alone go get 2 new ones in this scenario. We have already seen how trying to win without the Center position solidified works...

Yah as i said before you are not giving up 9 in this RJ JP package. U need to find a centre at 9 to replace Jak.

Poeltl in a trade with no center coming back isn't a hot look at all.

We need to find a Center WITH Jak. Without him, you're pretty going back to that horrible Siakam/Barnes/OG team.

There's a reason why Poeltl has been our most important player and thats because he's irreplaceable on the roster. A player at his level should have nowhere near that importance if you build a roster correctly.

Could ask for Nick Richards back in that trade. We're also not giving up #9 so could draft a big (Malauch, Sorber, Queen).

We likely become a 2nd apron team or very close to one. And that's where it becomes dumb. If we can clear the 2nd apron comfortably and just be a tax team I'm probably okay with it, but would probably still lean no. I really like KD too, just don't see the fit. Not with the guys we have, and where he is in his career.

We can't ask for Richards back because the salaries won't work with KDs 54M.

If we get Durant and Move Yak we are keeping 9 to draft one of Maluach/Queen 100%.....

IQ
Barnes
Ingram
KD
Mal or Queen

Id argue Queen fits better with that lineup than Mal...Would be interesting what we do post KD trade though.

We need Queen/Mal WITH Poeltl man. If you trade for KD then you are trying to compete for a championship and no way in hell are Queen/Mal going to be championship level starting Centers right out of the gate...

Yeah you need to do it in 2 trades:

Trade 1: RJ+Jak for KD
Trade 2: Gradey for Richards

First second option in history to lead his team in scoring in the regular season and playoffs, be a 2 way menace, and, be the best player in the Conference Finals.

Distancing yourself from awful takes. Predictable.

But then doubling down on similar awful takes. Not predictable.
