I think the Cavs are in the same spot as us and are in no rush. The last I read Val's buy-out is being worked on and shouldn't be a problem, and if there is a lock-out he'll just play overseas, which is a bonus.

I think Kawhi Leonard is going to be our pick come draft day.

Leonard and JJ at our sf positions wouldn't be a bad thing at all. If they can both hit 3's at a decent percentage its even better, and both can play d.

Not a good strategy when there would be better options at the SF spot next year.

Miller, Gilchrest, Barnes < Leonard.
Masai's to do list

If it comes to choosing between Walker and Kanter, I would take Kanter everytime. I don't care if he wants to play here or not.

Agreed. I don't think the Raps will win more than 25 games next season, so they should have a chance at another top 5 pick and grabbing one of those SFs.

Take a project big like Biyombo at #5 and then buy a late first for Iman Shumpert. This guy screams sleeper. He has those key "tools" to be an absolute pest in the NBA for his opponents. This kid measured in at 6'5.5" in shoes with a 6'9.5" wingspan. He also weighs in at 222 pounds. He would be able to guard 3 spots as well.

Let's compare this to the 6'1" tall Rajon Rondo who has a 6'9" wingspan and weighs 175 pounds.

Shumpert averaged more free throw attempts and steals than Rondo.

Yuuuup!

You have to take bpa.

He really doesn't seem like the Steve Francis type a-hole who would actually sit out and wine publicly to be traded

Since Kanter and Val didn't attend the combine, will we find out their measurements via some other avenue (a reliable one)?

Yea Youngblood I agree with you :(

If possible I'd try my best to get 3 more mid-late first rounders (might be crazy). One for Shumpert, the other for Darius Morris and the third for Kenneth Faried. Both Shumpert and Morris can play 2 or even 3 positions while providing the ball handling and court vision of a point guard with the defense of a wing. If BC likes versatility show us with those two! As for Faried, dude's just a beast and momentum shifter with his energy. Every team would love to stack up on those guys.

Aron Smith of NBAdraft has some interesting stuff from Chicago:

Believes Knight is head and shoulders above Walker.

What Knight did as a freshman was more than what Kemba did as a sophomore and his size and length gives him a huge edge.

What a surprise, the exact same arguments for Knight that many of us made earlier this year!

Seems to be the word from most analysts this week......and I tend to agree.

Only think I like about Kemba is the leadership abilities which I think our team sorely lacks. Evans is really our most vocal guy and he's not the captain by any means.
