To TOR: Gasol
To LAL: Bargnani + Kleiza + Acy + Option to swap 2014 1sts (top 7 protected)

Would save LAL about 4 million, 8 million in tax.

Toronto would get a productive guy like Gasol but also a expiring.

Trade #2:

To TOR: Berea + Outlaw
To SAC: Fields + C.Johnson
To MIN: Hayes

Finish off the off-season
- buy a 2nd round pick draft Myck Kabongo
- Decline Lucas TO

Kyle Lowry / JJ Berea / Myck Kabongo
Demar Derozan / Terrence Ross
Rudy Gay / Travis Outlaw
Pau Gasol / Amir Johnson
Jonas Val / Aaron Gray

Fill out the roster with minimum players. Look for some 3 point shooters

I'd love a deal like this... but I can't see us making a trade with LA. I think they really want to reserve their cap for 2014. They won't deal for longer term deals that wont get them to a championship level... that's how the Lakers work.

There's a slight chance that it could happen... if they want it, I think that's a deal we need to make. we clear a ton of cap room, and we instantly get better.

Big trade

LAC trades

Bledsoe

gets

Wes Mathews, Cash from Raps, Future pick

LAL adds a little defense at the sg spot as well as a some outside shooting to space the floor.

Dallas trades

Vince Carter, #13

gets:

Lowry

Dalllas finally gets a pg.

Portland Trades

Mathews, #10

gets:

Demar

Portland upgrades the sg spot. Demar will fit nicely between Lillard and Batum.

Toronto trades

Demar, Lowry

gets:

Bledsoe, VC, #13, #10

Toronto adds 2 picks, gives a young pg a chance to run a team and brings the prodigal son home to end his career on the 20th anniversary. In the meantime he comes off bench and teaches Ross how to be a consistent offensive weapon with shooting and dunking.

I proposed this very deal previously and got killed for it. But it makes perfect sense for both teams IMO, particularly if MU is intent on the rebuild route. The cash flexibility it would afford Toronto in 2014 would be excellent. And for GS, you give up expendable parts for a guy that could open up the floor for your team even more? Why not? No brainer.

I also laugh at all these Bargs proposals that have a first coming back with whatever other piece is involved. Good luck with that.

Take the expirings and walk away happy.

The only trade I proposed that involved a pick was with the Nets. Trading Humphries + 2013 pick (22nd overall) for Bargnani + cash (cash for the pick).

^ True DG88, and in that instance I think the inclusion of the pick makes sense.

Completed on July 1st:

Toronto Trades:
DeMar DeRozan
Aaron Gray
3 Mill Cash

Toronto Recieves:
Will Barton
Jarred Jeffries
Louis Scola
#10 Pick

Pheonix Trades:
Louis Scola
Marcin Gortat

Pheonix Recieves:
Demar DeRozan
Aaron Gray
Joel Freeland
3 Mill Cash

Portland Trades:
Will Barton
Jarred Jeffries
Joel Freeland
#10

Portland Receives:
Marcin Gortat

For TO: Pick up a new starting PF in Louis Scola, and they get the number 10 pick which Portland would draft for them and trade on July 1st so that Scola can be included in the deal. With that 10th pick they draft Dennis Schroeder from Germany.

For Portland: They have no intrest in the draft currently so they use some lesser assets and their pick to snag Marcin Gortat and put a legit Center next to Aldridge.

For Pheonix: They get younger and pick up a young SG who was a top 20 scorer last season and they free up the front court for their younger players to develop.

What do you say?

Bargs for Lin, White and TRob?
Sammy D for MLE?

PG: Lowry/Lin
SG: DD/Ross/AA
SF: Gay/Fields
PF: Amir/TRob/Acy
C: Val/Daly/Gray

not sure where Lin's value is at , I know he's overpaid but Houston wanting to clear space that move gives them almost 4 mill in cap space and a PG spot for CP3.

for Raps you hope reuniting Lin and Fields could turn the second unit in to something

I actually really like that trade for a couple reasons,

1) reuniting Lin and Fields solidifies the bench - Lin gives insurance over Lowry walking
2) Robinson is a young asset
3) we keep the option to trade demar
4) it actually makes sense for Houston right now - Lin is out of favour and even if they dont land Howard Bargs is a good stretch 4 to put beside Asik

Nice Trade!

This may be too much value for Bargnani, I don't know if he is worth that much to be honest.

White is a year removed from being a 1st round pick but I'm thinking they've come to the realization that needs to end and may have negative value. TRob I'm not sure what his value is to them but if they have the blinders on for making a splash via FA maybe they just see him as cap space....Lin's the one I'm not sure of.

Honestly if a team with cap space isn't willing to take him on with nothing going back this type of trade might not be to far off

two trades:

bucks out:
Jennings S&T
in
Demar, cash

Bucks move jennings and retain some youth with Demar

Utah out:
Millsap S&T
in
Lowry S&T

Utah finally gets a pg

toronto out:
Demar, Lowry

in:
Millsap, Jennings.

Toronto reshifts the roster and gets a little more complete.

I would like to see us make a run at Jennings or Tyreke Evans for our pg spot and look at Josh Smith for our power forward spot without giving up Gay, DeRozan or Val.

Evans
DeRozan
Gay
Smith
Valanciunas

or

Jennings
DeRozan
Gay
Smith
Valanciunas

That makes us easily the third best team in the East. Possibly second with a chance to take out the Heat. Outside of LBJ our starters would match up almost evenly or completely dwarf them Athletically.

I'd give up Derozan for Evans. PLay Evans at Pg since he had his best year at pg in Sac. Trade Lowry away for a pick in 2014. Go with a line up

Evans
Ross
Gay
Amir
Val

This line up gives Ross more playing time and with Evans driving may give Ross more open shots. We won't make the playoffs but atleast it gives us another pick for 2014. We can trade Gay later in the season to a team making a playoff push for expirings or another pick.

I like Evans handles, his ability to get to the basket and his size at pg. He could post up smaller guards aswell. I'm not so high on Jennings though

so you got 2 borderline all stars without giving up anything, it doesnt even come close to working cap wise nor asset wise.

Stranger things have happened plus Masai and TL don't care about the cap if we can get a competitive team. IMO that's a competitive team. I'd be hoping for that a package of Andrea, Ross plus Acy would work in a sign and trade for Smith and a package of Lowry plus Klieza and whatever for Jennings. We just took the Buck's assistant GM so who knows.

This makes NO SENSE

DeMar is good friends with Jennings
Lowry and Rudy Gay are good friends.

The NBA works in groups of friends now. Josh Smith is a friend of Rudy Gay, he might be a realistic option

IF LANDRY FIELDS WASNT MAKING $6.5m THIS YEAR
