Big time presence on the defensive end. Also rebounding very well. On the offensive end he is unstoppable under the rim, lots of dunks. Still hasn't shown a back-to basket game that well and FTs still horrendous.

BackseatBoss wrote:Horrible offensively, very good defensively.

So he's still the same player as last year? Has he shown anything new in his game at all?

Nope

Improving isn't a given. All those fans who said he's so young and can improve his FT% are clearly delusional.

Drummond is a force defensively. His game is going to be his size/athleticism/defense... I don't think he's ever going to be great offensively, but he'll be passable.

He won't need to be offensive guy to be great though... if he stays healthy, he'll make a big impact on the game because of his size/D/athleticism.

Damn Olynyk played pretty well. His offensive game is very good. How was his D?

Yeah, his footwork is a lot better and he's not as rigid with his upper body when he leans and fakes with his shoulder. The problem is that he's gathering the ball from below his hips which allowed Mason Plumlee to alter his jump hooks a couple of times. But if he can take a hard, high dribble before he picks up the ball his release point would be a lot better and higher allowing him to finish consistently over the top.

He looked average. But I didn't watch the entire game, just bits and pieces. He looked very good on offense though.

Ya, but he's not good. That's a problem. I'd rather a GM who looks for players that can play then players with Canadian passports

No disrespect to him because I know his boys, but he's trash lol. I'd rather have Dwight Buycks from what I saw today.

Yeah, Buycks looked good, and probably will be OKC's 3rd string PG, behind Jackson.

He just isn't cut out for the nba. He'd be lucky to make a d-league roster.

Myck had a bad day but he still has the athleticism and instincts to like him as a pro. I mean if today was the only footage someone had seen of Burke, they'd think non NBA too

I agree. However as someone who has seen both these player played in college Myck wasn't that much better at Texas than he was today against Utah. For a player as athletic and long as he is his touch around the rim and finishing is very underwhelming. With that kind of wingspan he should finish with english every time and it just reinforced today how awful of a finisher he is.

I'm excited to see JV, Ross, and Q... I think they're going to play really well.

JV can beast this league... especially because he doesnt need to worry about fouling out. He can just go out and play his game and dominate.
