Hope to see a highlight video soon. I want to see JV's court vision and how fast and fluid he's moving

looks a bit more mobile. Still struggling a bit to fluidly propel his body forward, which is odd. Will have to see the full game.

Some piss poor defense there in those examples though. No one boxing out on the offensive glass, no one dropping down to cut off the roller. Fundamental defensive mistakes.

I would say, much better than last yr when he came to NT from doing physical. To the court vision, I'd like his teammates catching ball better after JV dishes it almost perfectly. I really liked how JW came out doubles today. Can't wait to see JV passing to Lowry or DD from double-teaming in the deep post

I am encouraged. A week ago everyone was talking about how much bigger he looked, we now have confirmation that despite that growth he is quicker and a bit more mobile on the court. If he has increased his size and is moving quicker, while trying to implement new things taught by Hakeem, is it that odd that he wasn't as fluid as you might expect?

Yeah, the Finnish defense did suck at times, and particularly in those clips. Those were dunks though, so generally the defense is going to look bad. I hope Finland wins a couple in the tourney, Finns take care of their peeps.

His running technique looks more efficient from those clips. More propulsion forward, better hip rotation, and less knees above his waist like he has in the past. I think they've found a stride that works better for his unique proportions.

Guess coach also noted Jonas surprising mobility. Judging from all the shots before I thought Jonas would come heaver and slower than last season but he in fact looks quicker.

Looks like his coach agrees. His running technique was already fairly inefficient and he put on weight. This year, his legs are better adapted to the weight and he has a more efficient technique for his frame. Good news for us!

On Monday against Australia. It would be more difficult for Val, because there are pretty good bigs in Australia squad. For example Aron Baynes, who last year play in Spurs and also former Raptor Nathan Jawai.

Literally 3 highlights of JV.

That said I feel like he got hurt or something.

JV was limping a bit but it didn't look like a serious injury. Nothing to be worried about but there should be some caution on his end moving forward.

Return to Toronto Raptors
