From what I remember of JYD, Tucker is the better defender. JYD was a hustle guy but wasn't nearly as good 1 on 1 defender as Tucker.

He is the GOAT because he made us forget about James Johnson even if its only for two months.

He also allows me to lay to rest the "what if's" regarding James Johnson.

I can see it now once the season is over , Raptors resign Tucker , and an hour later LeBron James leaves Cleveland last seen heading out west .

As much as I love the man, unless Masai is incredibly clever this off season moving JV/Cojo, it looks like we've found our Biz 2.0. He's never had the big payday and if he continues this, its looking more than likely he'll price himself out of our range.

It's only been one game but wow what an impact he has had with us despite not even getting to practice with the squad.

What was in it for PHX?

Just the late 2nd round picks?

Tucker makes $5.3 million this season and is an expiring contract. He is on the final year of a three year deal, so the Raptors will have his Bird Rights this summer.

Sullinger makes the Mid-Level Exception this year ($5.628 million), so the salary matching is very easy on this one. The two second round picks are expected to land at 50th or later in each draft, so are of very little value.

He was exactly what I thought and more! I know everyone is crapping on dmc but when he was on the court with pj and serge he had a pep in his step.

I don't think he ever fit on our team but with the new guys I think they'll play more into his strengths which can only help us and this is coming from a super dmc hater lol

PJ Tucker took a red eye to Toronto and got in at 9:30 AM the morning of this game...and he still out rebounded the entire Celtics team.

I liked how he passed a bunch of times!!! Very refreshing for a raptor wing to pass. He also played very hard defense!

We have his bird rights and he is on the wrong side of 30.

Yeah all the more reason I think he wont be retained :( A player of his caliber is likely command at least Solomon Hill money = 4/48m at 12per.

Well Hill was 27, Tucker is 31/32 can't remember. I can't see many teams throwing big money at him

I wouldn't go as far as a fraud.

To be fair to DeMarre. His knee was completely **** all of last year.

This year he's only been marginally better, but he's had some great flashes.

All in all.... I wouldn't call him a fraud.. in the past 2 years, DeMarre is the first guy in the middle of the action whenever **** gets heated out there. He's also he guy who sent the 2nd best Isaiah Thomas spilling to the floor... so I liked that :)

Demarre is underrated on this board. The team needs him to be successful in the playoffs.

I'd rather not drive up his price in the summer.

Its crazy to think even if Ibaka and Tucker walk. All we really lose is
Ross,
25th draft pick or worse, and
2 50ish draft picks.
The way our team is constructed, we wouldnt have had use for it anyways.
