Re: Raps waive lorenzo brown
He actually looked OK this season in limited minutes. He wasn't the worst player on the roster.
He's easily replaceable though. If you can bring Loyd up to replace him & save a couple of million, why not?
I agree with the article though....Moreland would be a useful big body. Not sure what is wrong with that guy....can't seem to stick on a roster.
Tough situation. Our PG & C position has been a mess.
I can't believe the Raps have the best record in the NBA this season with so much going wrong.
- Leonard coming back from injury, trying to get the rust out & figuring out new coach and teammates......plus has missed a bunch of games.
- Lowry with a bad back missing games.
- JV gets his thumb ripped off
- OG missed time & has had a pretty bad year.
- Miles is absolutley horrible
- FVV was pretty bad to start the season
- Norm out with injuries
Nurse & the rest if the coaching staff looking pretty good right now.

Yes, "issues" like domestic violence should make us feel bad for him. Glad they cut him, plus he is like 5-7.

Yeah I really like Loyd. That guy has no hesitation at all.

I feel bad for the guy. Even though he's like the 13/14 man on the roster, he's not a good player. There are plenty of players to take his spot, if needed. Good luck to him.

Thanks it's been a while since I've tasted other people's words in my mouth.

Sensible decision. Save $2M in taxes while waiting a basketball knuckle head

I mean may as well, was not going to get a single minute in the playoffs. Maybe you can actually get a legit 3 point threat or bench big on the buyout market to replace his spot.

As much as I didn't like Brown, I gotta say he was a great teammate and hype man on the bench. He would be standing and clapping for every highlight play.

Re: Raps waive lorenzo brown
If there was one thing I liked about Brown was that he was a pesky defender. This opens up a roster spot and some cap space that I think the Raptors are going to use on the buyout market for another shooter.

I am surprised he lasted this long to be honest. He probably resurfaces with the 905 anyway.

Re: Raps waive lorenzo brown
Whoa, didn't see that coming. He wasn't good, but he wasn't atrocious either. He was serviceable for short stretches, which ain't bad for a 3rd/4th PG on a roster.
He'll likely land somewhere in the NBA.
He'll likely land somewhere in the NBA.
Nick Nurse recounting his first meeting with Kawhi:
“We could have gone forever. (Raptors management) kept knocking on the door and I was like, ‘A couple more minutes.’ Because we were really into it."

His game reminds me of Jordan Clarkson which isn't bad for a 15th man.
