You’re talking a lot of smack for someone who can’t spell. I don’t know why you’re mad at me. What you said didn’t make any sense and you were attacking someone in the process. The only issue here is you getting defensive because you got called out. If you’re going to say someone has low IQ learn how to spell. Plain and simple.
I have no issues with spelling. I'm using a new phone I'm not familiar with and didn't bother with using the spell check.

Also saying Drummond has low bball IQ isn't attacking someone it's stating fact. Stop being so sensitive. Anything else you want to complain about beta man?

I’m not complaining at all. You’re the one getting defensive here lol. Apparently you’re delusional as well

You do know he has a reputation as a stat padding rebounder right? If we wanted a rebounder, I would rather get Tristan Thompson because he would cost less and is a better positional defender.

Building a roster that accommodates $28M for that kind of player virtually guarantees a flawed roster. This is a major reason why the Pistons are trying to trade him.

Andre Drummond would be useful the same way that Dwight Howard *currently* is useful - as a strategic role player who is not taking up a bulk of your cap room.

Some of these posts are painfully stupid. Just stop. Or go be Pistons fans.

Big men in this league are already criminally overpaid. Both Ibaka and Gasol make way more than their real world value so matter what in this scenario we are overpaying a big man. The important thing to note is this would be a short term solution for this season and possibly next if he opts into his player option. The Raptors won’t be the team that gives him $190 million. You would be paying him the $28 million for one. Its not the worst option. Its not my favourite option but something that I’m sure is being explored.

Pistons have been a .500+ team for two season that he has been there. Obviously, he is the cornerstone of franchise success, much more so than either Gasol and Ibaka. Drummond would elevate Raptors to the totally different level, and hopefully Masai and co. will be able to pull this off.

Oh trust me I know he is. I called out Drummond many times for such. He was doing so against the Raptors this year in garbage time. But the bottom line is he is an elite rebounder and can finish around the basket. I would prefer other options to him. But if you can get Drummond at a good price you absolutely explore the option. I’m not the biggest Drummond fan. I do feel in the right system his strengths can be better utilized and his weaknesses better hidden. The Pistons are a bad team. It really comes down to the price at the end of the day. I wouldn’t give the Pistons a first.

I dont disagree with that possibility but in that case you have to be careful with his looming FA because he’ll be looking for the max/near max salary.

for someone who is an 27yr old allstar this is quite low value.

In bizarro Dougie world this means the trade is already a done deal. Wonder what we gave up?

I wouldn't trade Lowry str8 up for him let alone OG and multiple picks. If this is the value the Pistons need then he's staying in Detroit till he walks in FA.

A motivated Drummond is a bad bad man. You can see he's just floating around in Detroit. I'd give up Serge's salary+Norm+1st for him no problem. Might even part with OG, especially if we find out through Kyle that he'd be open to resigning.

Gasol and Drummond might even be able to play together for a bit since they're both excellent defenders with different strengths.

But they'd need to figure out a plan for 2021, if they also plan to give Fred $20+

Lol. Why doesn't Doug move onto lacross or something. His writing, opinion and insight is not needed.

If they move him, it’s to rebuild so they’d obviously be looking for picks and young talent - giving them Ibaka plus filler is such a ridiculous idea. The reality is there aren’t many trades we would be able to offer that would make sense for both parties unless we want to give up a pick.

how many picks turn into a good 2 guard average around 15 ppg on good 3 point shooting percentages, can slash and pass and also defend on the perimeter

Are you trying to suggest that they would trade Drummond for Norm Powell instead of asking for a 1st rounder?

whats the value of a frp between 20-30? why not get a player in his prime that you KNOW is not a bust.

Lacrosse doesn’t pay very well unfortunately. I’m surprised Doug Smith hasn’t retired to be honest. Especially after his latest health scare.

I just looked at Norms stats for the year and I'm super impressed. Shooting nearly 62TS% 50%FG 40% 3pt on 5 attempts per game. He's got to be the most underrated player in the nba this year, no?

This is Masai saying were open for business. But pretty sure he knows Drummond is net neutral at best.

Yo what.... Ibaka + Norm + 1st for Drummond? That's a massssive overpay. And parting ways with OG for Drummond is also a bad idea... UNLESSSSSS we're getting Sekou in return

I'd love to get Sekou. He could learn from the master; Detroit will waste him.

I think a motivated Drummond makes us a strong contender again tbh.

Anybody who thinks Andre Drummond is an impactful NBA player likely hasn’t watched him enough. He has no clue what he’s doing on the court at any given time.

There are easier and far better ways of improving this team’s rebounding than trading for him.
One flew east, one flew west, one flew over the cuckoo’s nest.
