I like your optimism but 1 we would have to play all our guys and stop resting people which I don’t see happening and 2 we are terrible on back to backs so we are definitely losing to Dallas. I also don’t see us beating Washington with how well they’re playing but that’s just me. That game will probably go down to the wire and we’ve been terrible down the stretch of close games sadly.

Thanks for the balanced perspective, and good point about Dallas. We'll see if Masai pivots again. He did it once this year after we got back in the race, could it happen again?

With how the pacers are playing we might be able to lose 2.

Pacers are currently 4 games ahead of us.

Pacers got 8 games left (including tonight), and are likely to go 1-7 (assuming they beat Cleveland).

We have 6 games left and assume we beat Pacers on May 16, which gains us the tiebreaker.

Then if we go 4-2 (including the win over Pacers on May 16), then we tie and get into play-in. So 3-3 we miss the play-in.

So the magic number for missing play-in is 3 Losses.

3 losses from this team is VERY doable.

See a very motivated Wizards team tomorrow evening. I see Luka kicking our asses singlehandedly. A fully stocked Bulls team with Zach Lavine back and all the motivation to win games to save face after the big trade...that's also a possible L. A motivated Pacers team that will NOT be resting guys on the last day of the season against a Raptors team that will no doubt be resting EVERYONE that night.

Looks like we are going for the W. Only OG, Boucher, and Watson out for the game.

What's the word, do you start GTJ in this one? Or do you bring him in off the bench?

Kyle, Fred, GTJ, Pascal, Birch looks pretty good to me.

Added Indiana remaining schedule. Raps need to go 6-0 to have any chance.

Interesting take. That's in the scenario where Indiana wins 3 of their remaining games. Which ones do you have them winning?

My money is on GTJ coming off the bench (see escalating cap hold).

I see them only winning vs. the Cavs. They are cratering hard right now, and infighting (other games are vs. Wiz, Hawks, Sixers, Bucks, Lakers and Raps).

I think that's very possible, it's not a lot of time to get things together.

Haha true. But he only needs 57 min to reach starter status which he'll surpass in the next few games anyways.

I think Kyle being out for this one makes it official that we do not want to make the play in which is fine by me

Update:

Wizards are currently 4 games ahead of us. They have 5 games left, likely to go 2-3 (beat IND and CLE).

We have 5 games left. If we go 5-0, we would finish season 1 game behind Wizards, but we can tie Pacers and have tiebreaker and get into play-in.

Too much maths.

So essentially if Wizards win 1 (or 2?) more games and Pacers win 1 more game, we are eliminated from play-in, even if we win all our remaining games? Is my garbage math correct?

the gist of it is, we have to go 5-0 to get into play-in. One more loss and we miss play-in

Thank god this stupid play in crap can get put to rest. Amazing this team is sitting out players to lose and they can still compete. High hopes for next season imo.

I’m happy this play in race nonsense is done. I want draft lottery, I want to know our draft spot and then do my own research on possible picks at that position (like the good old days.....lol).
