what is annoying is that we have seen how dominant pascal can be....and how awful he can be when he is off
I am jaded because I too thought he was the new heir to the throne, but he just isn't that guy..
The less expectations we put on him the better, as he seems to do poorly when the spotlight is on him

He would be so much better if he could read the situation and take what is given by the defense, like what our rook usually does, as he cannot put the team on his back at end of games like kawhi or demar. He is also needing a friendly ref whistle.

pascal has had this good offensive stats (where he puts out great stats in the first half and mediocre in the second), but what was different was that our defense was so better connected. Our rotations were so much more seemless, and that promised long bois defense was a ton better.

Talk about seeing things that are not there. Siakam is much better at making the right play than Barnes is. Barnes shows flashes of elite... and then will throw the ball away on an awful pass the next play.

They aren't pointing out deficiencies. They are acting like children by calling Fred and Pascal "Trash VanVleet" or "Trashcal." They argue with their emotions and not facts. They have constantly been proven wrong and yet continue to push these fake narratives.

Calling players trash and accusing them of being jealous of Scottie Barnes is not constructive. lol

And I'd love to see the posters who have said that our players don't make any mistakes. Seriously, I haven't seen a single poster that has said FVV is a perfect player. We all know his strengths and weaknesses. What we do know is that he's been our best player this year and is an impact player.

Not everything is a fake narrative. But it is from a certain group of people on here who have awful take after awful take. And if people act like a child then they should expect to be called one. Are you seriously trying to justify players getting called trash? And what about accusing a grown man of being jealous of a teammate because he doesn't feed him the ball and allow him to jack up 30 shots a game? Or how bout wishing injury on our players? Is that not childish?

let's not beat around the bush - there are legit thread destroyers that continue to post garbage posts. one note tired dumb takes. simple 5 year old level takes. they helped destroy this forum over the past few years. it's why alot of quality guys stop posting altogether or found new homes.

We have held our last three opponents under 100 points which has included some good teams. I'm glad our defense is getting back on track. Opponents were shooting a very good percentage from three so that's likely just regressing back to normal. I think Trent and Precious are more important to our defense than we realize.

We definitely still have some problems on defense. Last in defensive rebounds, pretty high in foul rate. The scrambling defense is more prone to giving up open threes.

I agree. There are far too many posts of which the subject matter is the perceived inadequacies of a poster rather than debating the content of the post. Not only is this frustrating for the target, it adds nothing to, and derails, the conversation. If I am late to a thread, invariably the first two pages of a thread are an interesting, but not long after two or more posters get into a hissy fit that can go on for multiple pages.

I everyone would keep their arguments focused on the points made, this place would improve.

For Example:

Poster 1: Fred isn't great at initiating half court offence.

A response that does not further the conversation, and ends up derailing, is:
Poster 2: You've hated Fred for 5 years and can't wait to dump on him.

Poster 2: Is it that Fred isn't a great initiator, or that Nurse doesn't insist that plays be run and is relying on players to freelance on offense? Maybe Fred needs to have more structure. When the ball is moving Fred looks great out there.
