I thought it was already a failure to get Lowry who could have won them a championship last year. Him doubling down and letting another prime year of Embiid go by would be hilarious from the outside looking in lol.

Toronto should fight to get him

Way too injury prone for my liking. I’d rather use the assets to get a guy like Bogdan

Bogdan nothing special imo

We don’t need a star type of guy. Just someone who can fill in and score while the starters get some rest

Levert with his injury history isn’t worth what the asking price is

Just dont like bogdon. Levert a better fit. We’ll see on the price. If we are thinking playoffs, having an interchangeable top 8 should be the goal.

Bill Simmons is finally acknowledging that Siakam's not going to get traded. Some interesting conversation about potential centres here.

Woah. Odd how Dragic and Boucher's combined salary is just slightly higher than JV and Hart's. Will a single FRP (plus two seconds) be enough for the the deal to happen? Need just another few hundred thousand to be able to afford to sign a buy out guy. Hart + HV + buyout guy could really push the Raps to another level.

You going to bench Scottie for JV? Josh Hart would work just fine for our bench. I feel like they're trying to add talent, too, not just get out of contracts so this rumour might not work for us.

Dragic + 2 2nds for Hart + Sato I would do in a second.

Personally, I want wing scoring off the bench more than some big centre that you know Nurse would hardly want to play. The dream is we go on such a run after the deadline that when Gasol is ready to come back to the NBA which I have a strong feeling he will, he signs with us. We'd probably need Miami to hit the skids pretty hard for it to happen though as that is where I bet he ends up (with Kyle)...And who could blame him.
When will we just change the name of 25 of the 30 teams to the Washington Generals?

Please advise….

I have always loved his game as a bench player. Dude is tough as nails and would fit right in. Although we may become guilty of duplicating too many players as he can't really shoot the 3 ball.

Shooting needs a bit of work but he's shown flashes that he can def be a solid shooter. With our develomental system, he can become a knock down shooter.

He does everything else so well. Passing/Rebounding/Ball Handling/Defense....seems like the perfect Raptors sort of player

Josh Hart is a monster, elite rebounding for his position, tough D, decent if unspectacular on O, solid passer and makes reads reasonably well. He's like a fully-formed version of Champagnie if he develops well.

He'd fit this roster well.

What would that package look like? Precious/Dragic/Flynn/2022 top 5 protected 1st Rounder?

Fred/ Banton
Trent/ Hart
OG/ Barnes
Siakam/ Boucher
Barnes/ JV/ Birch

That bench would still need some level of shooting.

The fact that most of us seem to really like him probably means that he'd be more expensive than we'd like.

With ao few "sellers", so many buyers, or stand pat teams, it will be more challenging for raps to pull something off by trade deadline... Goran being most likely,.... only...imo

Hawks and Pelicans have apparently discussed Josh Hart for Kevin Heurter.

New Orleans is badly looking for shooting. If thats the case, than maybe we're out

Nurse's genius move in 2018-2019 was to start Serge and bring JV (who made more money then than he does now) off the bench. Why would Nurse necessarily start Jonas now? It could also depend on matchups and injuries.

But yes, as I think was noted in the Bill Simmons podcast I just linked, David Griffin is probably fighting for his job right now. Normally, that would be the signal to acquire talent by any means necessary. OTOH, if Zion isn't coming back this season, perhaps Griffin has convinced ownership that it's a good year to tank and accumulate draft capital, yet again.

Way too injury prone for my liking. I’d rather use the assets to get a guy like Bogdan

Bogdan nothing special imo

Did you not watch the game last night? I felt the same way as you 24 hours ago. Now ... hmm.

But I honestly can't see ATL giving him up, especially to an EC rival.

Ya iv watched him. He’s alright. Would rather have Caris But we’ll see what these asking prices are. Feb 10 deadline that means we have 2 games left. Even if we lose both, masai i think is going to be forced to add to our bench. And maybe it’s not a known commodity like he did with gary last year. The guy just loves value.
