Need a beat writer to ask bum ass Darko why we went away from Siakam guarding guards and Scottie being a roaming defender to Scottie and Siakam switching places over the last 2 weeks or so.
We've conveniently gone from a top 7 defence to not even being in the top 10 since we made that switch. Cowardly stuff from Darko.

we gotta preserve our star, let him stand in the corner and lose him man constantly while not boxing out

Yeah Siakam is a pretty weak interior defender, bbq chicken most of the time. Haven’t paid attention to his perimeter stuff though, I remember he used to be really good there but not the greatest in recent years.

But that isn't true.
1st Q it's clear the plays are Dennis in tbe pnr and get Siakam going.
2nd Q Achiuwa was used as the hub guy at the top of the key which Flynn in pnr. Barnes in corner in a shooters spot.
4th Q, they switched Barnes and Achiuwa and Barnes ran the offense. Remember him passing out from the drive to Achiuwa who was in the shooters spot from 3? Then Barnes ran more of the offense late in 4th Q because if not, they would foul YAK all day in the pnr to get him on the line. So Darko adjusted things....which is what we want
the teams suffers from "too many dogs need to eat", even though most of the dogs deserved to be starved. If barnes misses a couple they are going to go away from him (and he will start playing passive because he feels bad) the FO and coach gotta get him off that mindset and free him from himself by getting rid of the other "top dogs".
This line of thinking that whenever Scottie doesnt play well, its someone else's fault is getting extremely annoying.
I'm a Barnes fan as we all are. His upside is tremendous but I realize his scoring is inconsistent because he needs to improve his handles, touch and footwork....his focus is not always there either. Heading into this game, Barnes offensively was playing poorly for several games straight. Its fine to admit that instead of pointing the blame at somebody else.

How do you know it's Darko's decision? Maybe we show casing Pascal. Time will tell.

Idk what the numbers say but it feels like Siakam gets blown by on the perimeter most of the time lol. Scottie does too. They are both mid at perimeter defense but atleast Scottie is a pretty good helpside defender.

i think the amount of energy he uses as a POA defender on the perimeter as opposed to being that roamer is really effecting his legs on offense too. not many stars that aren't guards can keep up that pace throughout a game let alone a season.

The kind of win which highlights why management needs to clear the way.
Organization can be defined as an organized body of people with a particular purpose. Not random.

Re: PG: Good Win
What's a word between great and good to describe Scottie on D? OG is definitely great and Siakam no better (or worse) than good, but Barnes is both great (stocks and rebounding) and also makes more mistakes than Siakam on that end.
Where's the D?

Siakam was actually doing kind of decent, it’s not like we were asking him to guard the lead guards.
Scottie is just a significantly better helpside defender yet we’ve gone away from that. Even worse, they’re putting him on lead guards.
Isn’t that Dennis Schroder’s job ?? Just very perplexing lol.

14-1 whe KD and Booker are both playing
With the Raptors getting back in TO at 4am for a B2B
This is a fantastic win
I guarantee you the Suns went out last night, and at least KD was with Drake. But we'll take it.
