Pizza Pizza is bottom of the barrel type of stuff. They do have the best dipping sauces in the game though for sure. I have one right down the road from me and I always go in and buy dips and nothing else.

DIY your dips and never go back! I do agree that the garlic dip from pizza pizza is amazing and they’re the pioneers of dips in general so I gotta give it to them.

The garlic dip is the best one, but they also have a sriacha garlic dip which is great. I also like the cheddar jalapeno and peppercorn ranch dips. It seems like most people do not like the frozen pizzas made by red baron, but I like them and they are always on sale for $4. I just have one of those with the pizza pizza dips and it gets the job done.

I haven't seen them cheap out on toppings either. Dang I see they have stuffed crusts now - habanero cheese. I might just get a 3 topping special for friday with the habanero cheese.

Thanks for the tip on pizza pizza stuffed crusts. Question: have you tried pizza Nova? It’s consistently amazing and they often have inexpensive walk in specials. I’m partial to a one topping with Italian sausage and add garlic oil, a smidge of parm and some garlic powder too.

I didn;t know they have garlic oil but the last time I tried it I thought it was one of the best mass pizza franchises. Quality cheese and sauce.

Haven't had it in a while so I'll try Nova tomorrow. Pizza pizza is everywhere it can wait.

It is just my opinion on pizza pizza. If you enjoy it then great! I like dominos the best. They just started to do stuffed crust and they actually put a ton of cheese in the crust unlike the other chains.

I still haven't tried mark's pizza im scarborough and everyone swears by it. Kinda pricey but apparently worth it. There's a Texas style BBQ joint beside it that's pretty good. Think I'll try to give Mark's a whirl this weekend.

Bonus points for being quick.

I’m still about my Pizza Hut pan meat lovers. Consistent favourite for me.

That used to be my favorite. I shall have it again.

I don't know how old you are but in the mid/late 80's, even early 90's Pizza Pizza was pretty good. Loved their Pizza Pockets before. I think they don't sell that anymore though.

Left Toronto many many years ago. Not sure if they still have 241 pizza. That was pretty good too; their hotline # was 241-0-241 lol!

I usually buy 2 or 3 xls, wrap them in foil and saran wrap, put them.in the freezer. Good for a long time if you pack your lunch every now and then.

I've come around to Dominos. I have one nearby so I get it sometimes when driving is out of the consideration. I'm too cheap to pay tip and delivery fee most times hehe. Plus the coupons is pretty fun. It can be a good deal. Sometimes I get it thin crust and it tastes pretty good. I was getting spinach on it but it's a rip off as it all shrinks. So have been experimenting putting the spinach on at home once I get back home under the broiler. The spinach has to be dry though.

Interesting idea. So the pizza holds up after the freezing? Foil first then saran wrap? Will give it a try.

edit: if i"m driving I usually get Pizza Nova. Toronto pizza is expensive. I notice when I visit people outside of Toronto the pizza to price ratio is so much better.

That's like someone asking what's your favorite fine Italian pasta and you recommend Chef Boyardee because pasta is pasta.

I always feel guilty going into Pizza Pizza and just buying the sauce but I can't eat pizza without their garlic sauce. I saw some recipes on reddit for their garlic sauce but too lazy to give it a try.

Detroit style pizza is just too crunchy. It destroys the roof of my mouth. Is it supposed to be like that? Maybe I should try another place before giving a final verdict.

The edges are supposed to be crunchy(with the “burnt” cheese on the sides) but I enjoy a crunchy pizza.

Doesn't it hit the roof of your mouth and damage the tissue there? My gums get wrecked too.

^^I still haven't tried Descendant yet. I was with someone who wanted good pizza and I suggested that because of reading on here. But she told me it would be too bready for me. So we got that Maker's one. Which was good. Although, pricey for what you get in my opinion. Especially the dips. Dill dip probably should be homemade. I later spoke with someone who knows me well and she is fussier with bready pizza than me. She said Decendant is good and I would like it. And then I totally forgot until now about it. Back on the to do list.

You should not feel guilty. I would recommended the dominoes stuffed crust. There is a ton of cheese in the crust.
