I said I wanted a bag of chips for FVV, we ended up with nothing. At this point can I get a medium pepperoni pizza for Pascal? Better than him chafing our development and chemistry for however long we keep him after an extension.

The Pacers can generate cap space of about $36 mil, per Spotrac. That requires parting ways with Brown and McConnell, and their rights to their free agents, notably Hield and Toppin. Siakam won't be signing for less than the max of $45 mil. Why is Woj peddling such obvious bs.

There's likely some sort of history between Woj and Pacers president Kevin Pritchard. There's been several articles written that detailed its Woj's MO to colour his coverage favourably when it comes to his exec friends in the league. A recent example was former blazers GM Neil Olshey where Woj was going out of his way to put a positive spin on his terrible management of the blazers and distorting the coverage of his dismisal.

Seemed obvious what his slant was during the Pacers tournament run in December with the way he was gushing about the Pacers future and how players would be rushing to play next to Haliburton.

This is the right call. Screw accepting an obvious lowball offer.

At this point, it ain't Masai's call to make anymore. Siakam and his camp have the leverage.

He can choose to let him walk but that would be foolish as hell.

Honestly there's been an oddly overwhelming amount of reporting everywhere about a Siakam trade coming over the last few days..

I know Masai usually does stuff off the map but there's like an insane amount of smoke around a trade--Woj, Shams, Haynes, even the score posted a Siakam trade is coming today, and hes been trending on twitter..

Siakam must be seeing all this as well..

I think I'd be surprised if he's still a raptor by our next game, it's just been oddly ALOT for it all to be nothing if I were to wager

Masai had all the power with Pascal at last year’s deadline. Would have got a king’s ransom.

I hope this year was worth it!

If it is in the works it would be only appropriate to do it at home so he can pack and say goodbye to staff and such. I don't think they would trade him mid flight. I assume Masai has learned from his DeRozan trade.

Pacers by aren't really a threat to sign him in the off season unless they just renouce everyone.

There's going to be some desperate team that wants to go all in and feel like they can beat the Nuggets, Clips, Celtics or Bucks. Or just trade him for Tyreek Hill and we'll be stacked.

15-24. Siakam is not impacting winning as much as some here believe. Too risky to do nothing.

i mean, you could of said the same about og but then look at what happened in ny. I do think tho outside of shot making his game is hurting us. We are hiding him on defense when he could be guarding quicker guys and he doesn't play help defense or help rebound.

Pascal is bad for culture, he only puts effort at offensive end because that equals more minty. it been that way for past 3 seasons and the team has missed the playoffs 2 of the past 3 years and now sit 9 games below .500. Trade him now for one young player and depth or glue guys that can defend

We looked 10 times better against a stronger Clippers team without him. At least we had a chance in that game, the reality is they beat a bad Memphis team playing second game of a back to back and then beat a struggling Warriors team. Both are terrible defensive teams.

Those DD/Lowry teams won because those teams had glue guys and guys that defended/rebounded. They won a lot of games and were always a top 4 east team. This team has 4 guys that can score and no one wants to defend, it will never work. They need to trade Siakam for more depth and another young player to build around Barnes. Right now this team has no leader and all about scoring, just look at the points were now giving up. Sure were scoring but who cares when you lose or just beat bad teams

Welp, where there's smoke, there's fire and there's seems to be A LOT of smoke as of late. I think the writing is on the wall here for Pascal's future here. Too many mind games played between Masai, Pascal and his agent I wouldn't be surprised that they're ready to move on.

Pascal was getting blown by so much, he can't guard quicker guys. :nonono:

Two days off so maybe. But it probably won’t happen for a while because the offers appear to be absolutely crap

Dear god I hope so, cause this team needs to rip off the bandaid. This isn't an "if" situation, it's a "when". Siakam is walking in the off season, period.

Agree or disagree with trading him, the FO has treated him pretty crappy during this whole thing, I can't see any reason to stick around aside from the extra cash. And even then, he's been complete ass on defence, do you want to be paying 45-60mil for 5 years for a one way second banana?

Take what you can get at this point, and just move on.

I think Pascal is a Pacer within a week.

Also I hope Isiah Jackson is one of the pieces. This guy is like Robert Williams with more offense and lesss injury prone. I know everyone wants Walker or Mathurin. Not sure Mathurin is what we need.

Exactly. I-Jax and J. Walker is the deal. We don't need another scorer in Mathurin. With I-Jax coming in, we can possibly trade Jak Poeltl.

I think Masai adds Gradey to the outgoing Siakam package.
