Dude is made of glass and isn't a high impact guy. This team does not need another high-volume/weak efficiency player. Even if we re-sign him for something reasonable (big if on the reasonable part), it's going to be very hard to move him. We are probably going to try to rehabilitate his value and fail.

He’s not a high impact guy if he’s gonna be your number one. But as a complimentary guy with good wings next to him, it starts to make him look real good.

The only positive I see from this deal is we moved off Kelly Olynyk - 3 year deal (2 years remaining), who was cooked defensively. Good connector offensively, but just gives it up on the end, was going to be unplayable in 2 year time.

The tank was getting cooked already we played ourselves out of top 5 maybe even top 7. Don’t like throwing in the Indy pick and the strong possibility Ingram walking unless we pay big money to an injury riddled 27 year old. But in a vacuum, he’s a better talent/shot maker we’re gonna have over anyone we draft this year. Indy pick is going to be a low, another Jakobe or Gradey guy that doesn’t move the needle. I’m not mad at it.

This is the only way to acquire stars if you’re a team in Canada. Pounce on star players who have been injured and hope the medical staff can work their miracles

feels like this could bd RJ 2.0 when in 6-12 months we look back and realize we got good value.

Tank the rest of the year, but no reason this group can't fight for the playoffs next year (and not play-in, actual playoffs)

Hey now, gotta put some respect on Siakam. He’s perennial all star not borderline. And should have more value than Ingram. I’ll say his return is looking better these days though as I really like Ochai/Walter and now Ingram.

You really think we were just gonna only add players younger than 22 or something?

We are gonna go into next year with a solid starting 5 (IQ/RJ/Ingram/Barnes/Poeltl) plus a top 5-10 pick, plus Jakobe/Shead/Mogbo/etc.

How you think that is anything the same as Fred/Pascal/OG/Barnes and no bench I will never understand. Just inability to use nuance, I suppose.

RJ Barrett isn't a solid anything, he's a much worse version of the guy we just acquired. He needs to be dealt.
