Please stop with your Kessler fascination. Jak is a better player than he is and Kessler’s next contract is going to price in his blocks even though he only plays 25 min a night.

A trade where we replace RJ with KD makes sense but it would be RJ+small contract +9 at the draft imo.

Would still rather have Giannis even though windy is saying he wants to stay in Milwaukee now.

When did I saw he's better than Jak?
I'm including Kessler in the deal because if we're trading Jak, we NEED to get another center back. Kessler is being shopped and would be a solid replacement.

RJ + Small contract doesn't not work financially.

KD makes 55mil AAV. We need to pair RJ with someone like Poeltl or IQ to make a deal work.

No to Poole. Why to bane?

We need 3pt shooting - Poole and Bane are both excellent shooters. Poole offers more shot creation and Bane offers a lil more defense. Both are young and Bane also has a good relationship with Darko.

Poole's career 3 pt shooting is 34.5 :nonono:

We have IQ who gets his shots within the offense and doesn’t have brain farts every two seconds in a game. Yeah Poole has the flashier game, but it lacks substance.

I hear the Bane connection to Darko. I just meant why would Memphis do it? They don’t need a big in Jak. Bane’s shooting makes him a better fit for Memphis than RJ does. Plus, Memphis still has Ja, so moving IQ for Bane make much sense.

Those two seasons after he got knocked tf out by Dray affected his morale, understandably so.

Last year shot 38% on 9 attempts per game. 59% TS

Ya I don't know, I'm kind of just throwing names out there.
We're supposedly looking for big upgrades this off-season and I also have a hard time believing we go into next season with a starting rotation consisting of only ONE efficient 3pt shooter. I think we'll replace RJ with someone...

A trade I suggested was RJ + #9 for Poole + #6

Not sure if the Wiz bite on that though.

Things are obviously fluid at this stage, but the two teams most frequently cited as potential landing spots for Durant entering Saturday's business, league sources say, were Minnesota and Miami.

San Antonio and Houston — and to a lesser extent both the LA Clippers and Toronto — have also been frequently mentioned by executives throughout the league as teams with varying degrees of interest in trading for Durant. It is widely presumed, furthermore, that landing with the Spurs or Rockets in Texas is highly appealing to the player himself.

Perhaps there are other teams like Toronto that will make a determined play for Durant. We laid out this aspect of the process out for you on June 6: The Raptors and other front offices out there are weighing whether it is wise to trade for Durant when he has just one season left on his contract at nearly $55 million — with no assurance he would re-sign and maybe without even interest in longer-term partnership — to make a one-year gamble on acquiring Durant like the Raptors famously did in July 2018 when they traded for Kawhi Leonard.

The ideal scenario for Durant, obviously, is landing with a new team prepared to both furnish him with a two-year extension in excess of $100 million like Butler found in Golden State and an opportunity to compete for a championship.

Yet there are some teams — like the oft-mentioned Raptors — who have engaged in exploratory trade discussions with the Suns with the knowledge that they might not have Durant for more than one season.

League sources say that the Suns have also signaled to potential suitors that they very well could opt in the end for a trade that doesn't dispatch Durant to one of his preferred landing spots.

I can see the cynics smirking from here. Why would anyone dare trade for Durant if they know he doesn't want to be there? It's clear from our conversations this week that any team doing so would be banking on the belief that Durant, who has spoken often of his overriding desire to just go out and hoop, would ultimately give in to that instinct no matter where a trade takes him.

Especially with only one year left on his current contract and his need for a new deal.

There are some advantages to cleaning your cap sheet even if he leaves. I would rather get youth for Jak/RJ, but that's not in the cards with this FO, so this is definitely the lemonade.

I have a feeling this is a big incentive for Minny, who have enormous tax obligations. They'd be completely fine with either outcome.

I too would want to keep 9. Take Grady, potentially even the 2026 pick if they're deadset on it. Shead too instead I guess, but he's likely ready to contribute more right away.

The question will be if Dillingham is in the trade for the prospect. They paid a hefty price for that pick

Our FO just needs to step away....while we don't know how factual or not the reports are, they nonetheless have been that KD doesn't wanna come here, I don't waste ANY assets on that. What's the point if his heart isn't in it...and better yet why add to the continued embarassment of adding to the narrative the stars to want to play here when inevitably bolts?!??

Which I believe is true IF they didn't have years to build a connection to the franchise and the fanbase. You just microwave it and players are "yeah this was great, I experienced the best of this place already, I'm out" lol But if you build up the relationships with them you can see a long list of players that have only continued to report their love for playing here. Don't waste time on KD if he's not even remotely open to it. It's like any relationship, you can't force that on someone, they gotta be open to the experience and then maybe it takes off. I felt like we were just barely starting to build that with the collection of young players that got here.

I don't think the FO will get this deal done because I think KD is going to push PHX to take the better of the 2 offers b/w MIN or HOU (in the hopes to get SAS to throw in a last minute bomb) but IF they somehow did I feel like we'd have to "make an offer they couldn't refuse" aka a serious overpay so the Suns' FO burns the relationship with KD and their own public perception with players - that would indicate our new ownership has become one of the worst in the league because I'd have to think Masai was pressured if he made such a ridiculously desperate move.

Just let go already...

Can Minnesota can do such a trade. I am a bit confuse with the apron but what under the impression that Minnesota cannot aggregated salaries. Would that make a deal with Minnesota very difficult if not impossible before July ? Or I am in the wrong ?
