It was a long time coming but the roosters have finally came home to roost. This was the inevitable outcome when all of the progressive owners started selling their stocks. We’re stuck with Rogers sadly.

the blue jays have been rolling out a high pay roll for more than a few years now. a good decision here or there would have changed tragectory of the jays.

you many comment of the decision making of rogers but you cannot comment on them being cheap with jays.

You can comment on them keeping the Jays FO in place for this long.

that falls on the decision making not being cheap as i said.

Confirmation they are not Masai's picks. Eager to see how this changes perception over time.

thats the whole point. The raptors are about to be run like a business unit, with little interest in winning. And just an FYI, business wise the raptors are also very well run

I suspect that Masai tried to trade for Giannis but was told no. As for dark days, let’s see who goes and let’s see who stays.
I believe in Masai.

Maybe he actually wasn't super forced out and actually wanted to leave for a while.

Rogers is more focused on making money. I don’t think it’s all doom and gloom like everyone’s making it out to be. Rogers will not accept mediocrity, so it’ll be tough for people who want a long rebuild.

And now we’re left with Bobby, who’s complete dogsh*t at his job.

Ugh, this is going to be brutal.

Masai hasn't been perfect, but I think many here haven't been around for actual bad management.

I wish I could say I was hopeful, but I'm not.

We have trouble getting free agents and that hasn't changed, but under Masai, players actually wanted to stay once they were here. This wasn't always the case. And I suspect with Masai gone, we lose the some of the attachment players had with the organization.

This is likely a turning point for the worse going forward.

I hope I'm wrong.

Not a shock after Shanahan. But it's not as if you can look at his period post championship and say he merited special consideration.

I suspect they'll leave the front office as is and remove Masai's role, as they did for the Leafs. And Pelley will speak for the team more often.

You don't always get to experience good times - look at so many teams around the league that are stuck in being mediocre or failing. But we did, and I'm grateful for that.

Keep up the criticism of Rogers. In the social media era, they do listen, and it'll hopefully create pressure on them.

It's not a separate issue... Both Rogers and Shapiro have allowed Atkins to hold his job for far too long without results.

Then why is every other team trying to sign him? Every time there’s an opening his name is mentioned

NBA isn't the pinnacle of business management.

It's crazy how someone can have the wrong take every single time.

Return to Toronto Raptors
