Good energy and seemingly improved footwork. Hopefully these types of efforts will translate well enough against NBA talent this upcoming season so his numbers can reflect his improvement. And hopefully he can take that next step.

But really, even though he looks improved, i'm going to have to hold reservation until at least exhibition play during pre-season before excitement supersedes my skepticism.

Okay this is weird, you posted a video of a prime Tim Duncan beasting against New Zealand in a Jonas Valanciunas highlight thread.

casey needs to free valanciunas… honestly, it's time to get this man more touches. i hate all this bs about, "oh he's still uncomfortable, he turns the ball over too much" etc… he's in his 3rd year in the NBA, he's been playing pro since he was a teen… he's not a **** baby anymore, it's sink or swim… if demar can be force-fed the ball to develop into a first option scorer, then why not val? he has all the talent in the world for it… he's not gonna get better by AVOIDING it… PASS VAL THE ROCK AND LET HIM WORK! RUN THE OFFENSE INSIDE OUT! LET'S GET IT!

The blocks are my favourite. Probably the one stat category I'm not sure he'll ever produce all that well in but he brought them today. Hopefully a good sign.

Big difference between a sucky team force feeding its young gun and a playoff team force feeding a young post player.

Casey's system is equal opportunity. I think he'll be a 3rd option next year, but he could move up to 2nd depending if Casey wants Kyle to become more of a floor general.

I'm more concerned about how much his overall defense has improved than his offense.

Valanciunas' usage in the Raptors' offensive schemes is quite different from Lithuania's national team. It's better to expect that Jonas will act as a facilitator for the wings in Casey's offense.
