We need to double down on our tank asap. This team is top 5 bad if the FVV/OG/Siakam trio is out. Either limit their minutes every game or sit them out over minor injuries like soreness

Important games to watch for tonight

#1- Toronto (8) vs Cleveland (5)

#2 - Sacramento (9) vs Utah

#3- OKC (7) vs Philadelphia

#4 - Washington (6) vs Phoenix

#5- Houston (2) vs GS (12)

#6 - Detroit (3) vs Portland.

As always important for us to get a big loss tonight. But I big loss against Cleveland would be huge for our tank. And hope to see the guys ahead of us win some meaningless games.

So far we're on a decent path. Of course the last second win against the Wizards did hurt us a tad. Wizards picking up that lucky W against the Warriors is huge. #TankYouWiggins always knew you were a Toronto guy.

Side note, Wizards play again today. Looks like they might be tired after that close Warriors game yesterday. The Suns might run them out of the gym.

I stand by this. Tonight's game is the most important one we'll have in a long time. The Cavs schedule is heavy against a lot of tanking teams, 50/50 chances and uncertainty. It's much easier for us to drive our future and some luck rather than just depend entirely on luck. It doesn't really matter if the Cavs string together a few wins (I think they're capable). It's more of we can't afford to win. Cavs start a back-to-back and we're somewhat rested. We gotta throw this game.

The difference between the 9th spot and the 5th spot is so close. On paper, it's just a 3.1% better chance to win the lottery (total being 9.8% if we land the 5th spot). Even if we get the 6th spot (9.7% chance) that's far better. Point being moving up in this lottery that's mostly top 5 is huge.

Fun fact the 2006 NBA draft we "won", we started in the 5th spot and jumped to the 1st.

Edit: Completely forgot we got the Knicks tomorrow. They also start a back to back and we're coming off one. I'm hoping Pascal/FVV/Lowry don't return but the Knicks stand a better chance to get a win at full strength versus us. Not really a game we "need to throw" more of a game that we're probably going to lose (hopefully!). Sunday night/Monday morning we should have a more clearer view of our situation.

Should have been done a lot sooner. Not sure what is accomplished at this stage of the season to get meaningless wins, and wear out your starters in a lost year. They need to rest OG more also. Delay FVV and Lowry for another couple of weeks. Top 5 slot can be within reach.

Even if we dont get a bottom 5 record, do you guys have a strange feeling that we will luck into a great pick? I just have a feeling that things will work out for us. I think the Tampa thing and the fact that it is not certain that we will play in Toronto next season, the NBA will do what it takes to ensure we will come out smiling after draft day.

My dream offseason is moving Fred for a legit center like Turner or maybe Jarrett Allen in a sign and trade if the Cavs would do it + Siakam for a Top 3 pick. If we could have 2 top 5 picks then we’re golden
