It is 29% my mistake. No ones comparing him to those guys in a vacuum. What we are doing is seeing the loads of talent he has and giving him more of an opportunity (which so far seems the plan next season). Giannis then went to 31% at age 22 which might be where Scottie ends up next season. From there, we can see what we have with him. If he's not that kind of player, then they likely keep trying with him since he's still young but probably put more emphasis on bringing better talent around him.

LOL, it's still wrong. Where are you getting 29%?

No its right. Go on cleaning the glass not bball reference

Still wrong. You would also be comparing 4th year Giannis to 2nd year Scottie. LOL. Scottie's birthday is in August, Giannis' birthday is in December. The most logical thing to do is look at Scottie's season in 2022-23 and Giannis' season in 2015-16. Giannis' usage that year was 23%. That was also in his 3rd year. There is nothing unusual with Scottie's usage. He's been given plenty of opportunities and will be given even more next year. Giannis' usage gradually increased because he also made significant improvements in his game.

We are not comparing years - we are comparing ages. Scottie's usage needs to climb next season to where Giannis got too (who also had a 56%TS). That's the whole point to this lol

Barnes is a better passer than Giannis, LeBron or anyone on that list. He had lower usage and the worst possible shooting you can imagine. If we want to maximize him and Siakam we need to make him the first option and add great movement shooters at our guard positions because OG and Trent aren't frankly good enough on offense.

Better passer than Lebron, one of the greatest passers the game has ever seen? Stop it.

Lebron is one of the best passing players of all time, there's levels to this.

This clip is why I'm so high on Scottie. He literally just drove left and just physically moved the defender out the way like a child for an easy layup. There is a reason why LeBron, Kawhi, Giannis don't play a flashy style. They don't need to. They just bully and overwhelm defenders to create space. Players like Barnes who know how to leverage their size and length can't be defended 1v1 if they have an adequate handle and footwork. He needs more reps, up his skill work a bit and spacing to work with. What separates Barnes from Siakam is guys like Caruso, Holiday, Smart, Brooks can't defend him because the laws of physics won't allow it. It's insane how big and strong Barnes is at 21.

I mean, not decidedly better but he's also not decidedly worse. Him and Giddey are really close.

These clips of him playing inferior competition tell us nothing. How's the jumpshot doing? How's the handle looking?

These videos of NBA player runs don't mean anything. Guys aren't going full speed and defense is at 50% maybe. Players are just getting a run in around their individual workouts.
Organization can be defined as an organized body of people with a particular purpose. Not random.

Giddey is better imo but the gap isn’t wide, you’re right.

Scottie would probably get more assists than Giddey if he had any semblance of above average handles.

I feel like Barnes will become an iggy type playa when it all plays out. Valuable to a championship team with his swiss knife army abilities but not the go to scorer

Agreed if he doesn’t make a leap within these next 2 years.
