Lakers are trash....Raptors easily beat them with Poeltl....AD doesn't get to score 16 easy points in the 1st quarter.

remember when ppl thought Portland might be good after getting all those pieces back? Turns out top level talent is still kinda important

We need some legit talent coming back for Siakam. Not just a bunch of mid. The stars are the ones actually worth paying

Looks like only half the teams on tonight's schedule decided to show up.

This is one of those games NY needed the scoring from RJ and IQ.
OG guarded Ky who dropped 40 and scored 10 pts

Seems like more of a defensive issue, they started to double him later and made a comeback, they were down big to.

OG wasnt locking down which is why RJ/IQ could have helped

this is what i was talking about before. randle and brunson both scored over 30 and they still lost. in today's nba, you need to prioritize offense over defense.

I imagine they're going to make a move at the deadline to get Brogdon or something.

Brunson and Randle are going to burn out by March if they keep having this usage rate.

I think they have more guard depth then in the frontcourt. Precious is all they got lol.

They have Grimes/Hart/Mcbride who are pretty good depth guys. They have zero bigs outside of Hartenstein, would be screwed if anything were to happen to him. They should probably go all in for Lauri and move him back to the bench.

Knicks can definitely get additional help if they are willing to trade their picks. I don’t think they’ll get anywhere with Brunson and Randle but Knicks fans will at least see some competitive basketball for awhile.

Grimes/Hart/Mcbride are very good role players but they have almost 0 self creation to alleviate pressure for Randle/Brunson. They need a 3rd ball handler.

Lauri would be a great get but they have no assets to get him. Their star package had IQ and RJ in it but they spent that on OG lol.

The Knicks are still in that delusional phase where they might be thinking that a Brunson and Randle led team will do something (not unlike us with Siakam and FVV a couple of years ago). Reality is going to come at them fast IMO.

Didn't Ainge want picks? They have a few other 1st rounders including all of their own. They could probably conjure up 3-4 1st round picks and go all in. Trade the contract of fournier to match salaries. The Dallas pick should convey but not sure about the detroit or wiz first round picks they have lol.

Not sure Knicks picks are that valuable to Ainge but it's possible. I just don't see Ainge trading Lauri unless he gets a real young prospect in return.

"Knicks are now 5-1 since the OG trade
Let's go over their panac, after last night's loss to the Luke-less Mavs

-"Are the Knicks really gonna give OG a max contract? I think you all would regret that immediately."
-"Shocking how well RJ has played in Toronto. Maybe it was the Randle-RJ combination all along?"
-"without a follow up trade, the OG addition will not change our trajectory that much."
-"One loss and you have people bitching about the OG trade. So predictable and so entertaining"
-"Only caught a little bit of the game last night, but I need more from OG. He needs more shots." <-- OG USG since trade, 13%
and the response to above^: "He can’t create his own shot so all he can do is get open in the corners and sadly he missed a few of those when we needed it"
-"If you told us Knicks fan in May after Heat series that Obi, IQ AND RJ would be gone and the return was 2 2nds, OG, Precious and Flynn the fanbase would have rioted.
We did get better, more consistent, less up/down, but we capped our ceiling and mismanaged valuable assets."
-"I’ll say it.

The Knicks got better this season when they traded Barrett and Quickley for Anunoby. You can’t consider yourself a knowledgeable fan of the game and dispute that. That being said, the trade stinks. We are still not real contenders and the investment in Randle over RJ will look very bad in hindsight. Committing to a nearly 30 year old PF who has had zero playoff success over a kid who, at 22 the previous season, you don’t make the second round of the playoffs for the first time in a decade without, is not smart decision making.Nothing Barrett is doing in Toronto should surprise anyone. Should’ve went with him over regular season Randle.

And that’s the issue with the trade."
-"Other teams are playing their key starters 32 mins most nights… we’re at 38 mins most nights. This is a recipe for disaster."

AND THIS ONE is hilarious

"i heard michael scotto say the knicks thought they were gonna trade rj & picks for og but the raptors insisted on quickley. quickley was probably gonna go to atl for murray he said. now they have to figure out how to balance the team again."

Man NY fans are brutal on their players. But if OG goes on a cold streak for too long and if we go on a big win streak, Dolan is going to be furious. Will probably dig up dirt on Masai as revenge lol
