Van Vleet and Boucher for Reid and Russell makes sense to me if we can't get a quality first for Van Vleet and are keeping Siakam and therefore not properly tanking for Wemby or Scoot. Reid signs for a Boucher-like number to compete with Precious and Koloko and backup Siakam (more likely Precious is the backup 4) which is a surer path to playing time than being with Minnesota. Minnesota gets a decent fit next to Towns or Gobert at the 4 and pays Van Vleet for D and leadership next to Edwards. They can still always trade Towns for a wing if they need to if the team still doesn't fit together as well as last year's team and Gobert-Towns just doesn't take. We could ask for Minott or Moore too if we have the leverage to do so.

Russell probably stays and we run Russell-Trent-Barnes-Siakam-Precious with a bench of a 2022 1st round guard, whatever draft pick and young player we got for OG (let's say Trey Murphy, Graham and a quality 1st rounder or 2 meh ones), Reid, Koloko, Otto is around to be a veteran. Treadmill team, but with an extra pick and Boucher for Reid makes us younger as does giving Russell his deal instead of Van Vleet and hoping he hits his peak in his late 20s, which makes sense really considering he's always lacked strength but not skill. Also works with OG staying as long as Trent comes off the bench. A bench of say Black/Wallace-Graham-Trent-Murphy-Porter-Reid-Koloko looks like a really fun bench mob.
Where's the D?

That

Yeah I’m sure that kenard plus norm offer got the nets all excited.

The clippers is probably going to happen. They have the pieces and Irving puts them over the top. Also, I feel Kyrie gets what he wants which is be in LA and not on Lebron’s team or his shadow. Balmer will do anything to get a star, even take a risk on Irving. I’d bet on this. Wonder what the odds are

Wow, the Pelicans were on a 10 game losing streak? These guys could use FVV and Siakam.

Looks like some $hit about to go down based on Woj’s wording

Ballmer outbidding the Lakers to get Kyrie when Lebron is begging would be hilarious

Mann, Powell, Zubac and Kennard are the best the Clippers have to offer. That's very underwhelming for the Nets, but I guess their hands are tied.

The Raptors should try to get in on a 3 way with FVV going to the Nets.

Might come down to wire with masai vs griffin cuz the hold out gonna be trey murphy. They aint giving up top 2 lakers pick so it will be protected.

If we dont get murphy we walk. Dyson too slow to be an eletric guard with mediocre shot.

Else keep OG move or him somewhere else

Dyson is just taller version of Suggs. Don't want

LOL these posts won't age well.

The both of you are sleeping on Dyson, just give it 2-3 years and more consistent minutes, I'm not saying he'll be a superstar but he's gonna be a damn good player long term. He already has ELITE defensive instincts that at minimum he'll become one of the better defenders in the league, really good court vision, better ballhandler and size for the position (Suggs is just too short & stocky, not to mention injury prone).

He's barely starting to get a feel of the NBA game in such limited minutes. As he gets more reps he's going to be able to read the game better & better...while I've always said Trey first, Dyson + a pick (maybe Jones too, although I think the KD drama will lessen the offers we get) would not be a bad result at all.

Needs a real shot to offset lack of first step and quickness. Thats what will hold him back. He’ll be okay but my point is if are trading OG - we better get Trey from them over anyone.

I'm not a petty person but I would never want us to help the Clippers in any way possible. FK the Clippers.

I don't want anything from the Clippers other than Zubac and he's not being traded. I meant another team.
