They will be laughing to the bank no matter what so long as they get a top 10 pick tbh.

5 Would be nice though.

Darko's crunch time mismanagement couldn't deliver tonight. Onto the next.

Gonna need to manufacture some Scottie missed games at this point. Pretty much 5-5 with him in the lineup (4-6 but they lost the Denver game because of his injury) and 2-10 with him out.

His impact is too high to tank with him in the lineup.

If they want to tank they're gonna need to do something extra cause the team will not finish bottom 5 at this rate.

This is what happens when you have a point differential of -4 instead of -15.....it's inevitable that Raptors will win some of these close games.

No Gradey, no IQ, still missing rotation pieces Brown and Olynyk and Miami can't get a win with basically all of their guys present. A minimum of 90 rotation minutes there.

Embarrassing for them really.

Unfortunately for any tanking hopes this team does seem to have pretty good chemistry. They seem to just stick around regardless of injuries, and Scottie in particular has a clear impact on winning.

Bottom line, you need to put yourself in best position to suceed. That means highest pick possible. Then, more options are available.

Probably similar to those of us that said they it would be Barnes, while listening to everyone that would have wasted it on Suggs. Some people just need more kicks at the can I guess.

I’m honestly not super sold on most of the prospects being elite nba players but yes it does hurt not to potentially add a guy on Scottie’s level. We could probably end up with an OG type of guy that would fit perfectly though if we fall in 8-12 range. I’m just not sure of the upside of a team with Scottie and RJ as your 1-2.

I tried to tell ya'll (still am), we're too good unless we trade Poeltl, we will be in the PlayIn picture without some very clear intervention ie/ blatant bad play calling & substitutions and completely unnecessary games for rest (due supposed neck or back soreness - something to that effect lol).

Some of you guys just so badly want to believe that we're getting a top 5 and I get it because I wish we could too but this team will be LUCKY to be in the bottom 10, nevermind 5...I'm telling you now if they don't make a move within the next month/well before the deadline, this team will close the gap and leapfrog multiple teams in the standings.

This is so much of history repeating itself the past several years where we're hovering around 5-8th in the draft and the team starts making an upward push around 1/3 of the season. The FO absolutely MUST make a move(s) within the next month because they're already going to start moving up the standings but when they get fully healthy and this schedule softens up...I'm dead serious that I can see them making a serious run (obv not quite like the 48W season) but where they do play above .500 down and it could get surprisingly higher rate when the truly committed tanking teams are just completely throwing away their season.

If we want any shot to remain in the top 7 where I'm certain we get a great prospect, Yak must go (period) or the tanking must be blatant. If not get ready for the Play In and a super disappointing draft spot.

If they end up in the play in, it'll be a complete disaster of a season. The only saving grace would be how all the young guys have looked, but this team needs the talent that a top 5 pick would get them.

trading is a 2-way street....another team has to be interested in him and also be willing to give up a good enough trade package....I don't see any teams that would meet that requirement at the moment. OKC looks like they'll be happy with Hartenstein.

It's about to get brutal though.

December is:

Indy - Can go either way, they are mid
OKC - Auto Loss unless both Barnes and RJ have great games
Dallas - Loss unless the same above
NY - pretty sure that's a loss
Brooklyn - likely win, but the Nets are pesky this year
Houston - Likely loss, the Rockets are good
NY - pretty sure that's a loss...again
Memphis - likely Loss
Atlanta - likely win
Boston - Auto Loss

That's about a 3-7 record, December doesn't have many mid teams for us to go up against like the Heat.

Our schedule really doesn't get easy until the final stretch where we face off against Washington 4 times.

Basically we need to actually beat good teams, not just the mid ones.

Only 2.5 games out of play in spot.

But also 2.5 games from last place.

Technically you can make the play in, lose and win the lottery, but I wouldn't rely on what the Hawks did last year, repeating

Oh right The Hawks DID do that! Hmmmmm Idk man that's very tempting!

Just would love the young players to experience & get reps in that playoff intensity/playoffs basketball.
*imo*/ymmv.
(But STILL want that top draft pick heheheh). I'm greedy!
