I don't know how we gonna perform without Gasol and Ibaka. Very curious to see who we getting to replace those 2.

We weren't contenders last season and we definitely aren't this coming season. We need to accept that. Even with a re-signed Ibaka and Gasol, our ceiling is probably 2nd round exit.

I would rather us stealth tank this season (e.g., obligatory Lowry injuries and load managing) and get a lottery pick in the coming draft. I want to make a title run in the 2021-22 season.

Y'all are acting like we're suddenly going to become a lottery team. Even if Gasol is also going elsewhere, we'll find a serviceable C to start games/play more minutes against the more traditional Cs like Embiid, Jokic, JV, etc. I'm comfortable with us going small with OG and Siakam at the 4/5 for large stretches this season. Plenty of teams have been doing the same kind of thing for a while now. We've just been fortunate to have two very good Cs for the last few years, so we haven't really needed to go small up front.

Remember we played a large chunk of last season without Gasol (28 games) and Ibaka (17 games), and even some of those were without both of them. We managed perfectly fine in those games (18-10 without Gasol, 13-4 without Ibaka) aside from when they were both out AND we happened to run into Charlotte (very good OREB team that dominated us on the glass, especially early) and Denver (Jokic went off for 23/18/11).

they can’t do that without also looking into the Lakers and they’re not going down that road because it’s attached to the leagues biggest superstar. We’ll learn about these dealings years from now in someone’s book.
