Wainright looks really impressive. I have a feeling he'll make the team. That combination of size and skill is pretty rare. He moves really fluid for his size and looks to have a decent touch on his shot. Built like Joey Graham but moves a lot better.

Fully developed 3 titles Draymond? C'mon Scottie is a kid and Draymond a man. Let the development happen and let's not make false comparison conclusive statements. Barnes is part project and everyone knows that.

Why people talking about Scottie playing elite defense and ability to get to the line in summer league? All of these look better NOW because it's the summer league. When it comes time to play in the NBA none of yall be saying any of this **** and he's gonna get exposed hard. Scottie's strengths right now is size and court vision. This was a reach of a #4 pick in a deep draft.

I ain't going to panic until I see him in a structured offence, but one this is for certain, he isn't going to create his own shot with the shot clock about to expire (and neither will OG for all you OG Stans).

Suggs / Green / Cade have no problem with this because of their elite ball handling skills.

That literally leaves two people on our team who can break down defenders and get something out of nothing. Flynn and VanVleet... and thats not going to win you a series.

So Barnes is 83rd in usage in Summer League. Y’all need to calm down.

Cade is shooting 37%, Mobley is shooting 34%, Barnes is shooting 33%, Suggs is shooting 40%. Green is the only top 5 pick that has came out swinging (20 PPG on 51%).

I feel he is RHJ with 3 point shooting, although not as good of a finisher. Sometimes it seems he can take the 3s given less space, but need to see if he shoot that consistently. Adding a consistent pull up 3 against switch would help by the end of this year.

One thing I found about Scottie's defence is no one ever wants to go one on one with him on defence. I only saw Kuminga stepping up to take him on defence but other players usually want a switch.

Barnes seems marketable with his combination of charm and high draft position.
i hate this narrative that refs just give out calls. Drawing fouls is a legitimate skill that some players are naturally more talented at then others. Its why guys like Rose and Kyrie never had elite free throw rates even when they were attack the rim constantly and dudes like Corey Maggette always had incredible free throw rates despite never being an allstar.

Drawing fouls should not be a legitimate skill. Offensive players should focus on putting the ball in the basket; defensive playing defence within the rules.

Fouls are when defensive players break the rules, "drawing fouls" is the worst type of offense and should be outlawed.

It depends how and why he got fouled. If he got fouled below the rim with ball penetration from the perimeter, basically defense are preventing him putting the ball in basket.

I do agree that jump shot fouls should not be a legitimate skill, as better defenders may not bite on it.

The bums are trying to show off their skill and why they're worthy of a roster spot, not trying to win.

I like Delano's game.. just wish he had better athletism to get int he lane and finish over guys easier .. I guess if he had that he'd be a 1st round pick.

But he's got good tools and definitely needs improvrment on his shot. Interesting how he progresses over the next year.

905 will do him well

One thing I will say about Barnes is that you can't help but see how much potential he has.

He's good at things that are rare for people his size and he's bad at things that you take for granted from people his size because they're seemingly simple.

My hope is that he can get good at the simple stuff and that will unlock the more advanced stuff that he does.

It will all depend on him though. So what he becomes will depend entirely on how much work he's willing to put in and his tolerance for struggling at something under scrutiny. Also, whether or not he's able to adjust his mentality to take advantage of scoring opportunities when they present themselves.

I saw a couple of things that gave me pause in the last game that caught me off guard, but hopefully, it's a maturity thing, but it looks like he might need a bit of an external push to break through some of his limitations.

Hopefully, I'm just reading way too much into things with such a tiny sample size.
