Chasing players who get hunted all the time on defense and you can't play in the playoffs is not the way to go even if he is a lights out shooter.

If all we had to give up was something like Flynn and Dragic, id take a flyer. It would definately be better than the absolute Zero we are getting from those two roster spots right now. We have enough defence on this team to hide him for 15-20 mins a night.

To think how different things would've been for them. They would've had a PG that was the antithesis of Russ, that didn't ballhog, was efficient and just helped LeBron run the team especially when he was trying to get some rest.

Then you add to it that DeMar who's been a MVP candidate this season wanted to team back up with Kyle and arguably even more driven than he's been in CHI because he's playing in front of his home crowd on the team his idol played for. The Lakers could've been running smoothly even without both LBJ & AD and easily amongst the title favorites (if not THE favorite) but some Laker fans scoffed at the idea referencing how those 2 lost to prime LBJ and supposedly didn't want them now they're hanging on by a thread just to make the Playoffs and so desperate they're willing to trade their only young player under contract and their only pick available in another 5 year for Scrubwittie haha you love to see it.

Didn't they change the CBA so that after the trade deadline, you have to guarantee the contract before you can trade it for the full amount? Otherwise, it will just be worth $5 mill for trading purposes.

I really don't see the point of trading for Gallo. He's unplayable in our system. Bogdan, yes. Harris, yes.

Yes but the idea is that he becomes an expiring for the receiving team that would be getting our pick in this instance for a better player on a longer term contract. Getting Gallo is basically deciding you want to extend the Dragic experience for another year. Though I think he can contribute a little more on court than Dragic has. Don't think he is unplayable with us. But Atlanta needs to put in something for us to bother doing this in my opinion.

Ha. I remember in off-season I was telling a friend of mine of how bad the Lakers are going to be (after they finished all their moves) and he thought I was nuts and that they were a sure fire 60 win team. LOL

You cannot go into a rigorous 82 game regular season with a bunch of older players that are past their prime. It just doesn't work. You have to attack the season with hungry players... the Lakers are hungry for food and wine LOL.

And Forget fitting all the pieces for a second, they are getting beat all over the court. Just a bad bad mix of players. That's what you get when you think you can just add whoever you want around Lebron ... or just because you are Los Angeles. Proper team building goes into every operation and it caught up to Rob Lowe - he should be fired.

Just look how Masai builds - hungry 22-27 yr old players every year and keeps adding to them. He eliminated the suffering of a rebuild because he kept drafting and developing during his winning years. Genius.

I want to laugh at the Lakers organization for the **** they got right now but no matter what they're always bailed out by superstars who wanna go there because they can play in front of A-list actors and musicians and they're a glamour team.

Even when LeBron jets to go play with whatever teams drafts his son, some other superstar will be there to fill the gap.

Luckily nobody's gonna bail them out of that Westbrook contract tho. They can rot with that one

It puts us in the tax by 7 million this year and down 2 1sts. This would never happen. They trading of Khem and Boucher is the much more realistic part. This is an all-in move for Myles Turner and Buddy Hield! Plus it is 1 or 2 years too early.

I just don't see what Holmes brings to the team? Is he good enough to be an actual body to throw at somebody like embiid in the playoffs? Just another undersized center. Unless it's Nurkic or Turner **** it, we've kind of found a good strategy to play centerless. Let's pick up a good wing scorer and a facilitator to play off the bench and wing it.

Correct. If Raptors are going for a C then has to be a legit big C who is also young (cannot be older than Siakam). Nurkic, Poetl and Turner fits the bill.

There is no evidence our front office is ever down with trading two 1sts because of how limiting it is for future moves. They have only ever moved the next 1st available max.
