just because you say it boldly doesn't make it anymore true lol lol.
2. He's Mormon, he was going to Utah regardless.
3. He's never going to be impactful enough to the point you should be losing sleep on his archetype.
4.) 9.5.1.1 vs 2.5.5.1.1 after 1gm shouldn't have you jumping off the deep end.

I actually kinda like him too as a player btw

Not that I wanted Filipowski but regarding that point above - technically we acquired Brendan Carlson who is more "Mormon" than he is being born into it and having gone on a 2 year mission already, but yes for a projected first rounder, I agree the signs were obvious.

There is definitely a promo opportunity with Wingstop in NY:

Out there doing cardio like Tony Snell.

If anyone cared about actually developing him into a potential NBA player, he'd be prepping for his soph season in college right now.

This is going to be a scary defense.

That OG verticality contest on the last play then also gets the rebound

It's weird to call anything 'shameful' when either player hasn't even played a regular season game yet.

There’s also the part where many teams passed on Flip because of his spotty family and relationship history.

No no, their archetypes are clearly known by now. Mogbo isnt becoming draymond green, why cant you just accept bold statements that arent made blindly.

Watch out guys! Filipowski put up 9/5/1 against bench scrubs in garbage time of his 2nd preseason game.

He is now putting up 3.7/3.3/0.7 in 3 preseason games. Chill out on the hyperbole and blanket statements my god

"opting for the likely rotation piece over potential star" is hilarious. All these potential stars in the early 2nd and we passed over him

Even ignoring that, we have seen this song and dance for many years.

It's amazing to me that "give it a bit of time' is a controversial opinion.

I was one of the ppl who wanted Kyle over mogbo… I like what I’ve seen from mogbo, Mogbos vision has been as impressive as anything I’ve seen from Kyle.

Sidebar Salaun actually looked pretty decent, didn’t look as raw as I expected him to be.

Must be hard for LeBron to silence that voice in his head. If this was any other player, he'd have him waived lol

Edwards just is that dude. Man I wish we had a player with his swagger.

I know it would never happen but random thought is him & Scottie would literally be the closest thing to MJ/Scottie lol. I'd just love to pair Scottie with an elite go to scorer. Any of Coop, Ace or VJ are dream picks to me.

Those are quite different situations. Skal was one of the most obvious busts in league history (hence why everyone passed on him) and was hyped up by agents, to which many posters fell for due to lack of critical thinking. Meanwhile the Mormon dropped partly due to non-basketball reasons and partly because he wasn't good enough to warrant the risk for most teams.

But there will likely be a lot of "if's and buts" in this draft alone given how uncertain the projections were for the entire draft.

- Poeltl trade (vs us likely drafting Edey)
- Ja'Kobe being drafted higher means there's a higher chance that someone below him is better (Flip, Furphy, Dunn, KyShawn, etc.)
- trading #29 (vs Furphy, Collier, Flip, etc.)

With Chomche looking more raw than Bruno and Shead being a bit small with limited upside, Mogbo may turn out to be our best pick in this year's draft.
