It's mind boggling that he essentially stood pat, especially with their war chest.
Presti is one of the best GM's but I think this was a mistake. You have Chet and Williams still under their rookie deals for this year plus the next 2, that's a 3 year window to contend while not having to pay those 2 the max deals they will likely eventually command.
I think he probably was thinking to go through this run and give this young core experience and then evaluate what's needed after. I do expect him to finally use that war chest but to me it was a wasted opportunity because they are a legit contender and could have really solidified that by adding some pieces at the deadline.
