I can't believe how far Taurean Prince is slipping. He would be a steal at #27.

Then again, they're just mock drafts.

Givony was just saying on his pod that a team with a dleague close to their practice facility is ideal for the high upside projects going in the late lottery. This is one of the reasons I am really comfortable in drafting Skal.

Chad Ford's relentless pushing of DeJounte Murray makes it seems like he's being paid by someone. Who's DeJounte's agent?

Or Maker, who is comfortable living in Mississauga and he can help out his brother who is still at Orangeville Prep.

I don't think a shorter drive to the practice facility is going to make Skal tougher. The Dleague is still very much up in the air as to whether it actually works or helps do anything but help players stay in game shape. Fingers crossed, but imo these project picks either tend to work out because the team they play for stinks and they're gifted minutes or they were just underrated coming out of college.

That's why Juan Hernangomez goes 4th to the Suns in his mock draft. I would actually be happy if we drafted him at #9, but it may be a bit of a reach. That's never stopped Masai!

Agreed. He should be in play at 9 imo.

This is true but I would love to move up to get Prince.

I'd prefer to keep Stew and give Monte Morris
I'd really prefer to keep Morris and Stew and give the great Killian Hayes and 2nd round picks

If he drops to 27, I'm all for it. I think he's the type of kid that doesn't care about the money and he could possible be a draft and domestic stash like Josh Huestis with OKC. He'll be close to his brother and will be able to play everyday without taking up a roster spot.

Does anyone think that MU might trade 27 for two 2nds in order to avoid a guaranteed contract?

If that deal is on the table, I 100% see him doing just that.

Barring a truly massive drop there isn't really much clear talent discrepancy b/w an end of 1st rd pick and early to mid 2nd.

We've by far had more candidates for our late pick in than the #9 so it wouldn't actually surprise me if a deal like that was in place then grabbed someone like Yabusele, Zizic or Cordinier and had them stay overseas and kept whomever say Brogdon, Stone, Onuaku, Whitehead etc in the D-League basically as an injury reserve.

Can't see us taking Bembry. I don't even think he worked out for us.

Both would be A grade in my opinion. Go with bpa in Poeltl and a very solid and underrated player in Bembry. Or end up with a high upside freak athlete who drops to us and a high upside freak everything else. Analytics or potential lol
