The fred van vleet performance against Bulls which illicited meltdowns on this board:

26/12/8 on 22 shots

Jamal murray tonight:

25/3/5 on 18 shots.

THIS IS HOW WE PLAY THIS STUPID GAME.

Right. Fred and Murray are pretty much interchangeable. Put Fred on Denver and they'd be rolling just as well as now

Lmao. Dude went radio silent when Jamal was putting up big numbers, then comes out to post about Fred? Is there anyone on this planet that believes there’s even a comparison? I’m sure even Fred’s mother would choose Jamal Murray.

I'm convinced Embiid can't make the conference finals partially because his body can't handle it.

I saw Siakam on Draymonds podcast talking about the toll that a deep playoff run takes on your body and I just can't see Embiid doing it. Now that they're losing Harden and stuck with Harris contract I think their ceiling is set in stone at the second round.

Butler + Bam vs Murray + Jokic is one aspect but the finals is just gonna come down to a 3 point shootout.

KCP + Brown + MPJ vs Vincent + Robinson + Struss + Love

Miami is just too small. I have a really hard time seeing them hanging around unless they somehow shoot 45+ from deep again.

Fred shot better than 55.6% only 3 times in 70 games this year. Maybe we want him to be efficient?

Watching how to allocate possessions in the playoffs at the elite level, you can see why Nurse's approach just never made sense.

Thought Fred would have better luck with Vucevic and DeMar/Lavine as the rim/PNR defenders, but he simply cannot score inside the arc in the playoffs.

Trying to have success when you allocate 20+ shots to a 1 level scorer - unless somehow 85% of those shots are 3s - is a recipe for losses. And he shot well from 3! It'll still kill your team when the opposition gets what it wants out of the possession.

Sometimes Gordon and Jeff Green will have to take more 3s than you want, but the coach isn't designing an offense around getting them those shots the way Nurse wanted Fred to drive inside.

Herro should be back. The Finals don't start for another week.

Raptors played both of these teams well during the season. It's hard for me to consider the Nuggets to be unbeatable. Jokic and Murray will have plenty of chances at a ring. Jimmy has to be hungrier. I wouldn't bet against him.

The winning condition for the Heat is likely: how do we score over 120 points every game?

They've been torching the Celtics around that mark so you could say it's def achievable. The hot shooting has to continue. They don't have the size that the Lakers had to bother some of that offense, so they need other advantages to come through.

In the end, he missed the final shot, LeBron has never been a good closer.

Jimmy Butler is a coach killer. Getting two coaches fired within a few weeks. Bud and soon Mazulla. Maybe even Mike Malone
