Scottie is currently 6th in odds to win DPOY at +1300.

He is a rather large underdog at 13/1.

I'm already worried about Year 6 with him continuing to alternate between Good/Great Seasons and Awful ones.

Chet just needs to play 65 games to lock it up.

Scottie is our best scorer, when he wants to score.

The 3pt shot is legit.

He's averaging 7 attempts over these last two games.

I want him to stick to shooting 5+ threes. He's shooting at a 40% clip, even if that number comes down to 35%, that's still solid!

The shot selection has improved tremendously this year. He's getting to his spots, sticking with his strengths, and not forcing anything.

Almost feels like he was just treating last year as practice, and getting his in-game reps to develop his shot.

Just a more disciplined player this year on both ends. Not gambling too much on defense, or reaching in, and making the right reads on offense.

I hate how he plays passively when other guys are hot. We're a much better team when he's looking for his shot.

And one learning I think we all need to take from this is that Scottie Barnes does not give two **** about pre-season basketball

Watching him now I think he was just messing around and practising / doing random stuff as he was warming his body up.

Think about it, the better he can make his teammates, the better/easier it'll come for him.

If he does a have a bad game, they can carry with confidence, and he can fill the gaps.

Wait for playoff Scottie, we got a sneak peak in 2022.

Another very strong game from Scottie. 3 still falling.

This feels off, but that's probably because I had the "wake up and OMG Im so late" dream this morning that woke me up an hour before my alarm, so everything feels fake xD

agree, i was going to post, but realistic RR capture my points nicely. here's a quick summary of the link. The video highlights his offensive growth. What stood out to me was the decisive driving and a developing mid-range counter along with better C&S.

I don't think he'll do it every night but this is something we never seen the first two seasons.

Offensive Versatility: The analysis highlighted his improved offensive "process" this season, showcasing a fully developed offensive package.
Decisive Driving: He attacked defenders with pace, using tween dribbles and shoulder bumps to finish efficiently at the rim.
Mid-Range Counter: When the drive was unavailable, he effectively utilized a mid-range turnaround fadeaway, a shot he has worked to develop.
Three-Point Shooting: He demonstrated consistency from deep, knocking down catch-and-shoot threes and showing a 38% success rate this season on 4 attempts per game.

based off the highlights, this maybe one of barnes most impressive offensive game - the drives, mid-range, 3-pointers
What stood out was the drive and mid-range jumper....before, he'll depend on more of a putshot but now he's flashing a mid-range more consistently

I don't know he'll do it consistently but actually show potential for 3-level scoring on hopefully on a more consistent basis

Whatever jt was, we needed it, and he delivered. Loved to see it, if only after the fact, heh

It is funny that many people say last year doesn't count for any Raptor that had a bad season because we were tanking, except for Scottie. HIs season counted and was indicative of how the rest of his career would go lol. Darko admitted at least half a dozen times that Barnes jacking 3s was a directive from the FO and coaching staff.

I have been telling you guys for a few weeks that they ARE talking about Scottie a lot down here in the U.S.. We now have the EC Defensive Player of the Month award as proof.

20/8/5 while slashing 50/40/85 and a TS% of 60, and playing at an All Defensive level. He is absolutely making the All-Star game if our record keeps up, even with the expected drop in some of those stats.

Exactly, yes.

Really, we are going to need to wait till the trade deadline when bad teams finally give up on their seasons and selling guys off.

That seems likely, yes. Also gives us a little time to see if any of our guys can make themselves more worthwhile, or at least more valuable.

Yup, obviously that changes if Jak gets a long term injury in which case we will need to do something. If it's just sitting out B2B's for now, it's not the most pressing need.

The 4th quarter when Yak sits, we played SB, CMB, BI, IQ and Shead. Blazers was scoring with 56%. A guy like Grant can score easily with SB guards him under the basket.
