At the moment, I just don't see what's so special about Barnes that makes him a potential top 2 pick. I definitely don't see a player who has a good chance at being the best player out of the draft. He looks decent at times, but I like Jordan Hamilton more right now. (It's probably because I like Texas more than UNC but I feel they are pretty close as prospects)

If I had the #2 pick and I had to choose between drafting Harrison Barnes and drafting Derrick Williams as a SF, I'll still choose the latter.

If we dont get Irving then I would seriously consider trading down. Paul George plus Indy's first rounder, for instance. Paul George plus Kawhi Leonard or Jimmer Fredette instead of just Fredette.

My draft board based on team needs and how a player would fit with the Raptors, which I compiled through just reading scouting reports from various draft based websites and a few youtube mixtapes...

1) Kyrie Irving (PG) - I think it goes without saying that this is the only player that's a lock to be good at the NBA level, at least according to the majority of scouts. He is exactly the type of new breed dynamic point guards that we need to someday contend.

2) Derrick Williams(SF) - The guy is shooting the ball of the charts this season +61% from the field, +62% from 3, and +75% from the FT line, not to mention hes pulling down 8 boards a night. He also has great size at 6'8, 240 pounds and the best part about it is that hes knows how to use, he plays quite a bit in the post backing down smaller players. He is exactly the wing player we need to complement DeMar.

3) Terrance Jones(SF) - I see this guy as a Lamar Odom hybrid, hes not as effective offensively as D. Williams but he more than makes up for it on the defensive end and on the boards. He too has a big body that would translate well as a SF in the NBA, and with his good handles, rebounding ability at the 3, and being able to stretch the defenses by hitting the 3, he too would be a good complement to the Raptors Wing Rotation.

When you're watching the BYU vs. SDSU game, in addition to Fredette, check out Leonard. Here's what Jay Bilas posted about him in an article about the most respected college BB plalyers: link: http://insider.espn.go.com/mens-college ... id=6131081

Kawhi Leonard, San Diego State: Leonard is a man. He has huge hands, goes after the ball with tremendous will and plays with an unyielding persistence. In short, Leonard plays hard, and he plays hard all the time. Try going to the gym without seeing Leonard there. He loves to play, and that is contagious. Leonard shames his teammates into working harder and wanting more and does so without having to say a word about it. His example says it all.

Also, good Chad Ford article on changes in draft order from trade deadline trades:

"And while we're sifting through the aftermath, one thing is clear: This year's deadline maneuvering will have major ramifications for the 2011 NBA draft. A whopping six first-round picks (two of them likely lottery picks) were traded this week."

Huge Kawhi Leonard (SD State) vs. Jimmer Fredette (BYU) matchup about to start in San Diego. Tune in if you want to watch the two of the best players in the country.

Really excited to watch Fredette and Leonard play without having to stream.

Steve Kerr and Clark Kellogg doing the commentating - should be good.

Kawhi Leonard is very intriguing - he rebounds and brings the ball up. Something I know BC loves.

I honestly would mind grabbing Fredette if we can acquire a late lotto pick for him. Hes going to be a player... hes alot better then House and Reddick ... his handles are good (although definitely need to be tightened up..which I think is extremely possible) Moves well off the ball. Great confidence. Aggressive. Killer instinct

Hes like your ideal spark plug off the bench. Put him in the/sub strategy/role as Barbosa. Momentary stretches while he dominates the ball to try to make things happen.

I really like him as a player.
