 smh @ such hate...

If I was hating I would be talking about how much he sucks. I'm telling it like it is.

Knight is not Rose/Wall, that's obvious. He's not Westbrook who impressed teams with his ridiculous athleticism during workouts. When Knight does work outs and tests out with off the charts athleticism then you guys can hype him. Right now he's a good PG prospect with good intangibles, great body/size, and potential. However his potential not a Chris Paul or Deron Williams or Derek Rose.

I hear you brother. I was one of those guys who was lucky to even pass when I say I did so bad.

It's not hate. There's no way this kid is worth a top 5 selection. Irving, Barnes, Williams, Sullinger, P. Jones, Walker, and Valanciunas should all go ahead of him. You can probably throw Kanter in there as well.

If you're seriously considering Knight at #5 we'd be better of trading the damn pick.

Well, you're entitled to those opinions, I just don't agree with some of them. I don't think he's a Rose/Westbrook, and I've never seen anyone claim that, but he's athletic enough, and I do think he's
definitely better than you're giving him credit for.

Like I said, I agree with all of that. But those intangibles, when put together is what's desirable. Those things aren't exactly easy to find, and I'd be happy considering that @ 5, that's what I took issue with.

I donno, I really just don't see Sullinger being that good in the NBA

He scores mostly off garbage baskets - which is a good skill to have - but against big centers / defenders he will get boxed out. Terrance Jones can't D him up or box him out its so obvious.

I do like his offensive positioning but I don't see any defense from him other than the occasional charge draw and I just don't see him being worth a top 10 pick.

What has Knight really proven other than being able to stoke fanboy desires with his size for position and being a super-hyped HS recruit?

Oh I forgot about those stories about him crying after getting a B in math. We should draft him right away.

All-SEC as a frosh? Putting up comparable numbers to a Walker despite being 18? That's part of why I'm high on him. It's not just all potential.

That said, he's not having the best of games tonight, and it's not as if I'm saying I'd take him over an Irving/D-Will or even perhaps Barnes. But compared to some of these other guys with knocks on their game, he's not so bad.

I'd take Lighty as a Weems replacement with our 2nd rounder (do we even have it?)

Return to Toronto Raptors
