And he doesnt have to worry about not getting the ball because he wont be surrounded by chuckers.

Also because JV will play against scrubs that won't see NBA in their lifetime.

I agree. However as someone who has seen both these player played in college Myck wasn't that much better at Texas than he was today against Utah. For a player as athletic and long as he is his touch around the rim and finishing is very underwhelming. With that kind of wingspan he should finish with english every time and it just reinforced today how awful of a finisher he is.

I've been trying to figure out what the obsession some people on this board have for Myck...I never thought he was that good even in highschool. He looked average to me but yet people seemed to think he was the second coming of Chris Paul. He wasn't impressive in college so it isn't a shock to me that he wasn't impressive as a pro. I wish him good luck because he's Canadian but that's about it. He has a lot more work to put in before he can even be remotely respectable.

I remember watching Danny Ainge play for the Blue Jays. It was really disappointing at the time when he left to go play basketball. Now he is that GM who picks players like Rondo, Bradley, Sullinger, Fab Melo and now Olynyk with later selections. These selections were made while they were contending. Look at the coach he just signed. Those are the kinds of moves we might expect to see for the Raps. They also develop their talent. The summer league ball looks sloppy.

Any confirmation on NBAtv broadcasting the 3 SL games live ? I also checked the rogers guide and they are not being shown live. But I remember reading (raptors.com ?) that they would show all 3 games live ?

Maybe someone can tweet somebody ? (Don't have twitter myself).

Wow for Kelly. Some nice moves on display. And he looks like he has the physique to get a lot stronger.

OK, I still remember Barg's first summer league game like it was yesterday. He had a strong first half, at which point rival GM's were coming up to congratulate Colangelo. But right now I'd bet KO will have a better career.

He has the big man mentality for sure. The range is a bonus.

Olynyk was looking great out there. He desperately needs to add some size though. Always seems to be flopping around like a rag doll, and getting pushed around. 20lbs would do him a lot of good.

I thought Olidapio looked great from what I saw, but I only saw the 1st quarter of that game.

The sad thing is there are always chuckers in the summer league trying to prove themselves, they only have so many games to do so just to make it or leave a good impression to other teams. The good news is, the summer league coaches can handle that situation and make sure JV/Ross get the most touches as well as go through some of the plays they need to work on.

Let me guess, BC was bragging about GMs congratulating him on the pick?

Olynyk will be a good player. It's obvious to most he isn't a stiff.

So there you go.

12 points, 16 rebounds, five steals, six blocks, six fouls and seven turnovers in 25 minutes

Pretty much more of the same from last year.

This comment kind of caught my eye though...

http://www.freep.com/article/20130707/S ... e-drummond

He will be the starting center from Day 1 next season and to truly be a dominant player, he has to put some finesse to his athletic gifts.

“I’ve always been able to do it, it’s just the fact that I got to do it again,” Drummond said. “I see the floor really well and I’m able to pass the ball as well.

“I actually look first before I go into my moves. Just getting more comfortable is what it all boils down to.”

You see the floor really well and you are able to pass the ball well? After a game in which you commit 7 turnovers?

Seriously dude?

Well he did say he was able to pass a ball, not well. And I would presume a 7ft tall dude could see over players in summer league and see the floor pretty well. Also SL turnovers are overrated, many of these players are straight butterfingers watching lol
