Michigan St was named number one despite having to go to the wire with Ivy League pansy Colombia. They then struggled against a lower tier mid major in Portland St.

Iona is a solid mid major program (top 100 school consistently, sometimes top 50), but it should not be up against Kansas on the road.

Syracuse barely beat St. Francis yesterday.

Top 10 could be very different by Feb 1.

Kansas isn't playing any defense at all right now. Self will probably have that rectified by mid-season as usual.

As I have said many times, Wiggins compares to a more athletic Rudy Gay back when Gay was in college.

So there's plenty of hope he'll put up dozens of shots per game when he goes pro?

Well his basketball IQ is significantly higher than Gay's, so I don't ever expect to see a 11 for 37 type performance.

As it stands, we're more likely to see a 3-6 type performance.

Top 10 Pick with the biggest night so far is Marcus Smart.

He has 25 points in the first 18 minutes of the game, leading the the #7 Cowboys to a 16 point first half lead against #11 Memphis.

Smart may be the college player of the year this season. Lower ceiling prospect compared to the others, but should be a solid NBA player.

Probably will. However, Self has never had to rely on this many freshman before, so it could take time for him and the team. Kansas has had to replace a lot of starters in the past few years and had success , but its usually sophomore or juniors stepping into the starting lineup.

About time, he wasn't scoring much in first few games.

His stat line is sort if similar to Randy Foye coming out of Nova - low shooting % (around 40%), but very strongrebounder, solid passer, very good defender. He may be a little more explosive than Foye. I am always concerned when a prospect only shoots 40% however. You just hope a player could generate more efficient looks.

Wiggins max vert reach is going to be insane. Here's a list of the highest recorded on record. Our very own Rudy Gay is currently the highest SF max vert in the Draft Express database at 12 feet 3.7 inches.

Wiggins needs to learn to be aggressive like Perry Ellis. He attacks every time he catches the ball.

I don't think he has been really trying to dominate much the first three games as they have played nobodies (and won by an average 47 points) and he has only played 24 minutes. Then again, he is only shooting 40% against that subpar competition when he is not pressing his offence -- its my biggest concern for any college player, when you shoot that low, because on athleticism alone you should get enough easy baskets.

I think it may be the offense, Wiggins can't really drive when embid and ellis are clogging the paint. Not saying KU has bad offense just not suitable for wiggins.
