The Raptors getting Demarcus Cousins would make the North go beserk.

Trade

JV, Ross, Bruno, 2015th 1st rounder, NYK/DEN pick

For

Demarcus Cousins, Nik Staskus

Kings get to go into rebuild mode with a plethora of young talent.
Raptors go beserk and get added 3pt shooting.

DeRozan, Val, 2015 1st, 2016 NY/DEN 1st, and Amir for Cousins and Thompson.

They get a potential all star, an all star, potentially a lotto pick, and another first, along with a good role playing expiring.

Cousins
Patterson
Johnson
Ross
Lowry

SAC is looking for stars..not trying to trade one. I don't think any stars are available..unless you think Joe Johnson, Brook Lopez, etc. count

Their management is so incompetent that you never know what they might do or what may entice them.

LOL what? DMC is a superstar, he could end up being the best player in the league. If you know anything about the NBA it's quality > quantity, You have two superstars with a great bench and you still have next years pick. Between Lowry, Ross, Vasquez, and Lou Williams the backcourt is set. Then you have expirings like Fields, Hayes, and Hansbrough that can be used along with the 2016 pick (since we're trying to win now) to pick up some players to play in the frontcourt.

Cousins/Thompson
Patterson/Hansbrough
Johnson/Fields
Ross/Lou
Lowry/Vasquez

If you are going to trade Valanciunas, it better be for a real star.

DeMarcus Cousins fits the bill but won't be available for Ross+JV probably. Not worth DeRozan + JV IMO certainly not with Terrible Ross still here. Any scenario where Ross is still here AND starting is terrible.

I'd trade Ross for PlayStation 4 if they throw in an external 2 TB hard drive.

We need to trade for Paul George, not Cousins IMO. Not that either have a snowballs chance in hell to happen. George's 2-way ability at SF would be invaluable.

I don't think Alex Kennedy has credible sources, did he break down any relevant news?

DMC is being overrated here. He's a great player, but his team is 18-34. A true superstar with DMC's supporting cast would have that team .500 or better, even with their crappy management. See Davis, Anthony.

The biggest red flag on Cousins is that after five years in the league, he still hasn't learned how to stay on the floor. Do we want a superstar that fouls out late in tight games?
Nick Nurse recounting his first meeting with Kawhi:
“We could have gone forever. (Raptors management) kept knocking on the door and I was like, ‘A couple more minutes.’ Because we were really into it."

Don't you think it'll take at least JV/Ross + other pieces to get him though? I'd love to get him but giving away our future/starting center to fill another need is probably not the way to go, unless Pacers were okay with having expiring contracts + Ross + picks etc.

Ross usually owns PG lol

Both true.. Also add in the fact that there hasn't been one correct rumour about Masai in 2 years, and all you can do is get on with your day until something actually happens.
