T Jones should be the target he has the most upside and is due for a breakout year.
He is a player that can play a solid 30+ minutes and be the best running mate with Jonas.
I doubt Houston wants Anderson but would do the trade that was proposed.
We could offer Patterson & LAC 1st for Jones & Kostas Papanikolaou and obviously release Kostas think his buy-out is less than 500K.
Masai has already stated he doesn't want all the draft picks.

The problem with Jones is he's expiring right as the cap goes way up.
We could acquire him this season and if he plays well, not be able to retain him for next season.
So either he plays poorly, and we keep him cheap.
Or he plays well, and we'll have traded a 1st round pick for a rental player.

Duh
He will be a RFA so yes we will keep him but I if we did get him could see Masai trying to extend him.
He would be a long term asset for the team he would be our best PF since Bosh.

Re: Semi-OT: Suns looking to trade Markieff Morris
Next year we have the ability to add a better PF through free agency and cap space or the draft ( we should have a high pick and it's Deep at PF). We also have an ability to trade after other picked teams start to fade. Not sure why there is a rush from anyone to do this now when it will be more expensive. And Anything we do right this year is very likely temporary.

No he's an UFA after this season, and is probably gonna get some ridiculous amount like $12M annually.
Trading a 1st round pick for an expiring contract without an guarantee of retention is a very short-sighted BC-type move.
Frankly, between him, and Taj, and Morris, I prefer Jones in a vacuum.. but the contract situation muddies the waters quite a bit.

Wait, what? Why is Jones not a RFA?

Double Duh
A player who was drafted 18th which he was will become a RFA after his 4th year as long as the team picks up his 5th year qualifying offer.

Yeah nevermind, of course you're right, I was looking at BBREF.. thought the colour coding indicated RFA/UFA.
Nevertheless, bound to get a huge offer so there's significant risk there which I'm not comfortable with at this point, especially with his injuries last season.

Didn't we have a Morris Patterson on the team once? Why didn't we just keep him?
