It's really easy, just re-sign Lowry and let Ibaka go. We had a better regular season and went 6 games vs Cavs without Ibaka, he doesn't impact winning basketball anymore.

When a sign and trade happens, the player signs the contract and essentially gets his rights/contract traded to another team as soon as he finishes signing on the dotted line. It's not something like a team signs a player and trades him days later, doesn't work like that

Sign and trades are instant. When a sign and trade happens, the player signs the contract and essentially gets his rights/contract traded to another team as soon as he finishes signing on the dotted line. It's not something like a team signs a player and trades him days later, doesn't work like that

Keeps the core on the same timeline. Gives them 2 years to try and do something. Then Lowry/Ibaka/Tucker became expirings to be sent to contenders. Casey's contract runs out. DD goes into his final year before a player option he will most likely opt out of and makes him a trade target.
