TD looked great in the summer league and in the Rico Runs. Apparently he took the FVV approach to the draft and did not want to be drafted that low (bet on himself) and did not want to be on a 2-way contract (wanted a real NBA deal). Plus we have a hole at the SG spot, so some of us hope he can fill that.

Beal comparisons are a little over the top I agree.

We should just stick to calling him the next FVV for now (which is more than great for a undrafted player)

But I will say this, I'm more intrigued to see Terrence Davis than I am Stanley Johnson.

I hope you all understand that Terrence Davis is going to live in the G-league this year....

Im fine with that but anyone thinking he's going to get significant minutes being an undrafted rookie on a championship defending team, you're expectations are too high.

Im excited for the 905. We could have 5 really good starters this year.

Terrence Davis
Matt Thomas
Devin Robinson
Dewan Hernendez
Sagaba Konate

Would be a real fun team to watch and still leaves us 11 deep (including Boucher) with the Raptors. Hopefully some trades are made so we can cash in on our depth.

This. I hope they spend the first few months in the gleague at least. I like the idea of any rookie playing down there to learn the nba game before playing in the real deal.

I wonder how Jerry Stackhouse felt watching Paskal, Fred and Norm play key roles in a historic championship? He had to have been beaming that he and they put in the work.

Woo. Go Sexton. He was my 3rd last pick of the yahoo fantasy league draft.

VanVleet played 37 games his rookie year, about 300 total minutes, on a team that finished 3rd in the east. He was more undersized for the league and was even further back on the depth chart, because Lowry, Cory Joseph, and Delon Wright were ALL still on the team.

Davis is only really competing with McCaw and I guess Matt Thomas for backup minutes, and he may already be a more balanced player than either of them. I think it’s reasonable to hope he plays at least as much as rookie FVV.

I dont think Matt Thomas will be in the G-League considering his age and experience overseas. He'll get spot minutes in the rotation depending on matchups and situations. I agree with the rest. Raptors 905 should be fun to watch again like it was with Poeltl, Fvv, Wright, Siakam a few years back when they won.

My minimum expectations for this year (by the all-star break) are:
Davis becoming Bradley Beal
Siakim becoming an improved version of Giannis
OG becoming Kawhi
Dewan becoming a prime KG
Lowry doubling his productivity and becoming the greatest PG of all time

If even one of these don't happen, we should just tank the season.

I'm more exicted about the Norman Powell quote.

I've been hyping up Powell all off-season long as the guy to watch next season...and if he shows out Imma shove it down all ya'lls throats.

All love though

Powell looked like he was killing it at the Rico Hines scrimmages. I hope that carries over

Is the title belt for 1 on 1? If so, that is pretty amazing that OG won - kid is really working towards generating his own offense.

Super excited for the year. Tons of hungry young players and it's a no stress year after the chip.

It's so nice to have this team with a top ten coach and top three front office in contrast to the canucks.

Excited for the season!
