The guys we have signed to longterm deals are playing well, we're playing in close games, and our pick is looking more and more valuable. I'm going to miss Kyle, but aside from that things are looking much more optimistic than they did in the first few games. I think our early record makes it easier for the front office to choose a direction as well.

It seems everything that can go wrong has gone wrong. This team has had double digit leads in every game this year except maybe the PHX game and is somehow 2-8.

Ill say the cuts for the back to back baskets was nice

Its like they were holding on to those plays and then didn't pull it out on the last possession.

With even just a bit of luck, we are .500 right now and in a playoff spot. It really looks like the stars are aligning for a bad season.

On the bright side... can y’all imagine Cade Cunningham on this squad.

He would fix so many of our issues. He would become our defacto #1 option, and primary ball handler. He would take pressure off Pascal and let him settle into that #2 role, and he would opens up FVV game up even more, allowing him to defend point guards and being a deadly off ball threat.

Because Siakam is the new DeRozan.

That is a literally insane thing to say after Pascal registered his first career triple double with good defence. DD didn't have a triple double his entire time with the Raps.

This. Siakam has become Spicy P again, maybe even better with his passing game. We are wasting his good games trying to figure out who will show up with him from game to game. End games are not his thing, or maybe it's a luck thing. I swear he will turn this around.

Kyle has been crap again. This game he was just a hot mess. Some careless turnovers, poor shot selection and fouls. Kyle over the last two shows up for a quarter and then fades out again. Not sure if there is something going on in his personal life or what, but he looks like a stranger out there.

Why does Toronto struggle so much to close games? They stagnate so much with two PGs and Siakam on the court. Kyle should be leading them more.

It’s crazy to say this, but feels like Kyle has hurt us more then helped down the stretch all season

They just see two guys who can't be the #1 and don't think any further

The fact Siakam was a key contributor to a championship is all you need to know. DD will never be unless it's to take a heavy pay check and Ring chase, and even then it'll have to be off the bench

Look at what he’s been given to work with man.

The bench features Bembry, Baynes, Len, Yuta, a rookie, Watson, Thomas, TD, and Norm, who’s been bad.

This is not a good roster. Thats evidenced by the change in the rotation every night.

Sure the roster has its problems but this roster is better than a 20% win percentage team. We’re sitting below all the crap teams of the league and a lot of these teams have far worse rosters

Sorry but siakam is no defensive savant, he bumps people, jumps at any fake, dies on primary blowbys, loses guys off ball and off in bounds, and fouls a bunch then when he picks up fouls he can't rebound or help d

don't understand ppl who can't support the tank this year

they're playing in tampa in a shortened season that might get disrupted.
we need to find an exciting prospect in the draft. tre young, ja morant, lamelo, zion

just to put some joy and excitement into watching the raptors again
i've seen enough old men grinding it out ball,

tank as hard as possible
waiting for ai referees

I didn't think we'd pull this one off, but thankfully CJ came through for us. Keep these losses coming!

The last three or so games, they haven’t looked like a bad team but they’ll have a stretch of time where they just can’t score and it kills them. Tonight, it was midway through the 4th when Lowry was just chucking and it cost them. It should have been a 10 point win.

They aren’t worst team in the league bad, but I’ve mentioned this before - it’s not the worst year to be in the lottery. Short season, away from Toronto, no fans. Just develop these dudes who are under contract for the next two or three years and add something big in the off-season. Maybe that’s a Beal. Or a Harden. Combine that with a lottery pick and suddenly you’re contending again with a nice setup for future seasons.

They’re lacking someone who can get a bucket - that’s the difference between where they’re at now and an ECF team. Even adding a DD to this roster probably gets them right back to a top 3 seed. They just go stretches where there isn’t enough offense and they need a guy who can draw defense for the elite role players that are on the team.

Lowry killed us tonight

Yeah he's been horrible down the stretch this season. I'd much rather have Siakam taking the last shot, especially when the goal is a two pointer.
If we need a three pointer, sure we can go with Lowry or FVV.
