He's exceeded my expectations.

I think he will play a primary/secondary facilitator role when he’s on the court. Simply off fast breaks I can see him getting 2 assists, 1-2 more assists in the half court. That brings us to 3-4 assists per game as a rookie PF/SF.

Scoring, I think he’ll stay under 10 ppg for his first season, similar to Demar’s first season re. scoring. Gradual increase every year moving forward.

8PPG, 3.5 APG, 5RPG, 1SPG, 1BPG, 1.5 TOPG

His value really won't show up much in traditional NBA stats this year. I think he will be a beast defensively right out of the game, which is rare for someone his age/experience level. It's going to take time for the offensive game to come around.

After NN's comments, I wouldn't be surprised if we see closer to 25-30min per night. He basically said we are going to give him all the opportunities to grow and be on the floor as much as possible which I really like. The more NBA mins the better.

I can see an Isaac Okoro kind of stat line with slightly better shooting. I can see Barnes defaulting a lot to the guys around him.

I think it depends on how he can handle teams game planning for him. When guys take that leap to 1st/2nd option, their efficiency usually takes a hit.

I am kinda with the majority in think something around 10/6/4 with a steal and under a block in his first year.

Way back when I was evolving from a casual into a die hard I watched AK47 put up a 5x5 of 10/12/6/5/6. This is what I am excited about when we talk about Scottie's stats, I think he is the type of player who will have more than one 5x5 night along the way. (Only Olajuwon, Dr J and AK47 have accomplished this.)

OK So 15/7.6/3.3 with just over a steal and under a block. Off by 5 points and 1.5 boards, I'll take it.

Gotta get some points for calling out that 5x5 potential.

I'm happy to be wrong about this one. I thought he'd score significantly less and not be as much of a force on the boards while playing ~10 minutes less. I predicted his best games to be what is basically his season averages lol.

My rationale was his attitude. He came in with a desire to improve, he showed well in SL, and I figured his %ages would improve with the Raptors shooting coaches and his hard work.

That and rose-coloured glasses!

The steals will go up as Barnes gains more experience and gains understanding of tendencies. It's already starting right now. 1.5 in his last 20 games as opposed to 1.0 in his first 40. Somewhere between 1.5 and 2.0 per game is where I see him ending up during his career. Blocks I think will largely stay the same, maybe slightly above 1.0 in good years. The rebounds should go up because improving in defensive rebounding is a lot easier than offensive rebounding. I can see him as a 9 RPG player. Points and assists will obviously improve massively.
