this team would be 0-7 w/o freddie's leadership so i think he's in the conversation.

They are definitely 1 and 2. No question Freddy has been taking on a huge role with Kyle's departure. But Scottie has been dominant, and I don't think we can say the same for Fred. Also think we could very well be 0-7 without Scottie.
Scottie has been dominant at times, but FVV has also had some massive games (averaging 20/6/6 on 60 TS% during this 3-game winning streak) and some very clutch shots/plays down the stretch in some of these close games lately.

It's definitely close, but I think Scottie might have a slight edge. He's leading the team in scoring (18.1 PPG, 1 point total more than OG in the 7 games) and rebounding (8.9 REB, 0.3 RPG more than Achiuwa) while having a very solid impact (slightly negative on/off rating, +3.0 NetRTG). FVV is leading the team in AST (7.3 AST, more than twice as many as OG with 2.9 APG) and 3rd in scoring (17.0 PPG) while he has had a massive impact (+7.5 on/off which will get better after tonight, +5.1 NetRTG) and is playing nearly 40 MPG.

Continue to use Banton as the backup point guard.

Given his mental makeup, this means we drafted a surefire Hall of Famer.

GTJ is just a better player when he starts and he has been legit All-NBA defensively thus far. That isn’t changing. Pascal / Barnes / OG / GTJ / Fred is going to be the closing lineup no matter what, but I think they’ll start with those guys too.

I actually think that’s why Achiuwa has started. Birch has settled into his 6th man role. Achiuwa is easier to replace in the starting lineup and then you’ve already got Birch settled into his 6th man role. At least right now, Achiuwa will be better in spot minutes off the bench.

It is hard to ignore how terrible the team looks when Fred is on the bench.

Barnes is never not starting again in the NBA. Not until he’s really old anyway. When Siakam comes back, you just figure it out.

He'll be there. He's gone down the tunnel mid-game at least twice already this year - always come back. He's like Jason, The Terminator, or Pet Cemetery.

Why wont he play in the knicks game?
He jammed it. It's going to swell tomorrow and then they're in NY Monday. It's not enough time to heal. Plus it's on his shooting hand

When Scottie attracts more doubles, it will open up the under utilized aspect of his game so far: passing. Certain other players need to understand their roles when playing with such a player.
Organization can be defined as an organized body of people with a particular purpose. Not random.
