The Bucks were the dark horse team I was thinking were a possible fit for Lillard. It came down to Portland willing to take Holiday back as an asset to move him which makes me think our offer did not blow them out of the water either or they were unwilling to move him to a team that Lillard didn't want to go to.

Surprised Raptors didn’t beat an offer of Holiday, Allen a 2029 first and 2 swaps. But the Blazers thought it was a good idea to trade 4 players for one of the most infamously soft and overpaid bigs in the league, so who knows what they’re thinking.

Not sure why anyone’s celebrating the Bucks making the deal, they’ll probably run the East for several years from this. I hate Riley too but the Heat have won fewer titles in the past 10 years and their stars are ancient.

After calming down a bit and being rational. My guess is Dame said no to Toronto and wants to compete for a chip. He probably felt that his best chance of the offers available was with the Bucks. Portland, rewarding Dame for his loyalty over the years obliged.

Lillard is 33 this season they’re gonna pay him 46 mill then age 34 its 49 mill
Age 35- 59 million and lastly he’s gonna opt in for 63 million at age 36.

Lillard has missed over 70 games the last 2 years, is getting older and plays no defence. This is a terrible trade

My guess is that the FO didn't think Lillard was good enough to vault them up enough to compete for a championship. I don't blame them. People were on the forum stating that this was just like the Kawhi trade, when it clearly wasn't. Kawhi was a FMVP, DPOY and top 3 in MVP for multiple years. He accomplished much more plus we got Danny Green.

The one thing that this trade did do is take Giannis off the market. As much as the FO doesn't want to play the lotto they might just end up going there anyways.

Or more likely the choice wasn't theirs to make, it was PDX's decision.
