oh my god that's crazy. there's obviously a lot of season left and Embiid will be back soon but it's very possible that OKC gets a top pick.

The East is so bad and has been so bad for so long. There were a couple years not too long ago where the East reached parity with the West but it didn't last long.

The East is a joke. It's the Celtics and everyone else. Cavs look really good but I don't trust them yet. Knicks don't have much depth and OG hasn't had his annual injury yet. Indy's D continues to be a joke. None of the other teams are worth mentioning.

I saw clip the other day where OG falls to the floor 4 times in 29 seconds, so its only a matter of time before he gets injured and is out for a consider amount of time.

Haliburton's fall-off since the injury last season has been wild. Dude went from looking like one of the best offensive players in the league while putting up 25/4/13 on ~70 TS% in the first half of 23/24 to averaging 17/3/7 on 56 TS% in the past ~40 games.

I was gonna say the same thing. When do pacers fans start to worry about Hali. He doesn’t look good. Lucky for them Benedict Mathurin looking good. I’m glad we have their pick next year.
Sounds nuts but would blazers want to get off Ayton contract a year early ? Say for Boucher and Brown. Nice young backup to test for year. Maybe gamble and grab something good

McConnell and especially Nembhard are both a lot better than Haliburton

Kenny got this Cavs team operating at an insane level. Virtually no weakness outside of volume 3 pointers.

I always thought he was being unfairly buried on the bench with the Clippers having a surplus of players who could play the SG position. Look at his numbers in his last Toronto season before being traded and he was averaging nearly 19PPG on 62% True Shooting, 41% from 3 as mostly a starter (58 games) and that was with minimal shot creation to help him out.

Now he has a true shot creator in Harden to play next to, and no one to block him from playing SG 100% of the time. That was always his issue, he's a one position player, too small to play SF, doesn't have the ballhandling and passing skills to play PG, we can see what he's really capable of now that he's in a good situation with LAC.

My take was absolutely that the East would be horrible this season, we had multiple teams taking steps backward (Bulls, Hawks, Nets), that's why I had the Raptors in the play-in barring injuries.

I absolutely didn't foresee the Bucks and Sixers being as putrid as they have been, though the Sixers were always more vulnerable to injuries as they are a top heavy team with injury prone stars and I thought that Paul George contract was a huge gamble, likely to blow up in their faces given the number of games he's played in the past 5 seasons. The Bucks have no excuse, they shouldn't be 2-7 in spite of having Doc as a coach and their aging roster, part of it is just losses to some of the best teams in the league (Cavs 2x, Celtics, Mavs).

The Pacers have stumbled a bit but they were always a bit of an illusion as everyone knows they play no defence and they were just really lucky to get to the EC Finals. Haliburton hasn't looked the same since last season when he came back from injury, serious injuries are very unkind to guards who rely on their speed and quickness to compensate for their small size, a player like that can fall off quickly due to that.

For the rest, the Knicks are starting off slowly with a completely new group, they will take time to figure it out. The Magic lost their best offensive player and star, not surprising they haven't been as good without him as they were heavily reliant on his scoring being a defence first type team. The Heat have underachieved in the regular season for years, Butler is not the player he once was, at 35 with his injury history that's not a surprise. If you look deeply at what's going on not that much of it is a surprise.

He looks something we'd draft, 6'9" and can't shoot.

Why would they let him keep practicing with that form? Lol

He's shoving it into the basket from distance. No fingers involved.

Nets had control of the game tonight but blew it in the last few minutes. Cavs do look good but schedule has been a bit easy.

Ok the East now has only 3 teams above .500 :nonono:

After this season, the league is probably going to change to the best 16 teams making the playoffs, regardless of conference.

Bill Simmons was wrong to put Barnes #6 in that draft class but he's right for sure on Mobley a clear #1.

Cavs real test is the playoffs.

Cavs are looking like the DD & Lowry Raps. Great regular season performers, only to flame out in the playoffs.
