lol meanwhile everyone is all chill like we got this man, top 5 pick woooooooo top 5 woooooooooo

and then we only have to beat mediocre miami/atl and then mediocre det/orl to make the playoffs...thats totally totally doable omg lol...meanwhile people are so chill for some reason like woooooo top pick man woooott woooootttttt, man shouldn't we be getting really scared

Not even that hard. It's hawks who we dominate and then most likely the heat. Who we OT w/o two starters.

Cavs w/o bron. Lets go

Bulls up by 40 on the sixers with 3 min left......Embiid did not play, and is undergoing tests.......sixers are done. Path is getting clearer to the 10 spot for the raps.

Let's consider the play in?

Post#187 » by Thaddy » Tue Feb 25, 2025 8:31 am

We have a weak schedule and we're holding out healthy players like Poeltl, IQ and probably Ingram.

If we make the play in and get into the playoffs. I'd say we have a chance against the Celtics. If it's a hard fought series it'll raise the value of several of our assets. This means we could package for a top pick from teams looking to compete soon and lean towards a retool rather than a rebuild.

Poeltl / Mogbo
Barnes / Boucher
Ingram / Battle
Barrett / Agbaji / Dick / Walter
Quickley / Shead

Is that rotation lottery level? I think if it wasn't for injuries we could have been as good as the Pistons.

Should we go for the play in but continue playing our young guys? If they do well we'll have better trading chips.

You think this team has a chance against the defending champs?

I'm totally anti-tank, and even I think that would be foolish.

You've got the majority of the fanbase understanding the reason for the constant losing, and even at peace with it. Fans are seeing the "ethical tank" effort, with the rookies playing above their heads, and the team occasionally showing out against quality opponents. We've got a new addition that could be a high value player conveniently sitting and healing, and other core players working out their chemistry issues. We're 70% of the way through a terrible year, which means holding our collective noses for less than a third of a season to get to the draft.

And we're not ready to beat Boston in a 7-game series. I suspect we won't even be ready to beat Boston later today, but even if we do, it's a far cry from what it would take to beat Tatum and Co. with their stars ready to play 44 minutes a game in the playoffs.

Regardless of how we got here, we're in a great spot to get a top pick, with only two dozen more games to go. Savor every win, silently approve of every loss, and let's just get through this together, huh?

We are not holding out Poeltl and IQ (doesnt he already play?), they are/were actually Injured. With Poeltl, i hope, they are just careful as he is out more time than anticipated.

As much i personally want them to compete and even catch the Play-In, to say they have a chance against Boston is a bold statement.

But yeah i want them gain that experience in the playoffs, its simply too valuable, especially playing against a top team.

I mean llI go ahead and say I'll give OP a hunnirdd if we A) make the playin B) makes the playoffs and C) beat the Saltics. I think the coaching staff and Barnes still want to compete, so does RJ and the rest of the team, like I know nba players are always trying to get their stats and they say they want to win, but I really believe these guys do want to win. Team Compete all the way baby!

No.

It would be the definition of a short sighted move...

Best case is a first round exit.

BBQ+Poeltl lineup has been negative this season. Ingram is not our savior.
