It’s understandable why you would resort to trolling and insults

What happened to that being your last response

Not banned, just politically tied

Privated now but Barlowe another one saying he's heard the Raps really like Maluach and he won't get past us at 9

https://www.reddit.com/r/torontoraptors/comments/1l8ubk9/barlowe_khaman_maluach_continues_to_gain_traction/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=mweb3x&utm_name=mweb3xcss&utm_term=1&utm_content=share_button

Least surprising news of the draft lol

I would be absolutely stunned if we passed on Khaman to the point I won’t be surprised as we get really close to the draft that we’re looking for a way to move up a few spots (especially with WAS) to pick him and they still get Queen and we add another minimal asset to ensure we “get our guy”.

Failing that obv based on reports we’re focused on adding a young C which only further confirms the words out of Masai’s on mouth at his last presser. So yeah I could still see us taking Queen but I genuinely believe Bryant will be an internal debate for our pick because yes we’re missing an “OG” type of player and I understand he’s not quite as big but he’d also likely get played at SG so he’ll be big for the position and still fully capable of playing SF as well as we certainly need a security blanket for BI’s health.

Plus players like him, OG, Neismith, Dort, Daniels etc….great defensive wings just are tremendously valuable that they are almost guaranteed to help you win and worst case are VERY valuable trade chips down the line even if he doesn’t add anymore to his game than what he has as a 19 year old which is obv ridiculous and those who can’t see he’s well ahead of OG at the same age offensively are blind or just want to hate because they like another prospect more. Carter is way ahead of him in understanding when to cut or go back door, literally all OG could do is camp out in the corners like PJ Tucker, Bryant already hits shots from multiple areas of the court that OG did not and while Bryant needs to improve his handle, OG literally dribbled the ball like an elementary school aged kid with just his right hand directly in front of his body, Carter can use both hands but again just needs to tighten it up and add more refinement.

Obv I could be wrong but I honestly think if Khaman is on the board, he’s the pick (period). If not, I’ll say Queen like 55%, Bryant 35% and Essengue 10% (who I don’t even like but I just think those are the guys I see the FO liking). Personally I’m starting to hope for drafting Bryant and trading Ochai or Gradey to draft Yang as the best possible outcome imo.

I have no doubt that Bryant well might be the plan C. And then they look to get their big in Yang or someone else with the Portland pick.

Yeah, what I was referring to was from Barlowe himself on a live draft Q&A where someone asked for some Raps Intel and that's what he shared. So pretty much just reiterated the same info. Which is further confirmation of what Fischer and Stein shared a few days ago. So it's pretty known info in league circles I suppose.

And If Washington or some other team goes with Maluach, they have Queen as plan B.

Queen being Plan B is the bigger news out of this, frankly.

Very different plan B than their plan A.

Yeah 2 completely different bigs. But i think Darko would know how to use either of them which is key. I would probably even say he would lean Queen.

Damn 6'11 barefoot?!? Did not expect that. Makes me really want to convert that 39+Ochai into him, then just take Carter at 9. That would be the dream draft at this point for me.

Based on the list below (which probably isn't comprehensive yet), I would tentatively guess our pick at 39 will be one of Sion James, Ryan Nembhard, or Jamir Watkins, with the slight edge to Nembhard.

I agree with your take on pick 39, but it pains me to see Toronto using pick 39 for Nembhard. Another 6 foot guard is fine, but I think we should go the undrafted root with him and just risk it or promise him a two-way and unlimited movie tickets at Square One. Shead is really good and we can probably add some size over heady PG play.

Interesting. I've been waiting for his official measurements. That motor and athleticism with those measurements are elite level. I believe he's also the third youngest in the draft but don't quote me on that.

Mind you I'm not saying we will or we should take him. I want Kalkbrenner, Yang, Moore. I'm saying that out of Watkins, Nembhard, and James (the guys we are known to have worked out) I can see Masai favouring Ryan. We may we'll have worked out more guys that we aren't aware of. It's possible all three go undrafted. Last year I was pushing to get Shead as a UDFA in the draft threads, and was surprised but happy that we got him regardless.

That's all I wanted to see with Beringer because you really can't tell on film - but in Europe he looks bigger and faster than everyone. Draft this man at 9. He is a seven footer at 230 lbs. with elite fluidity and leaping ability.

He is still growing because most people listed him last year at 6'10. Again, no one has improved so quickly in such a short time as Beringer. He was playing soccer full time in 2020. When his mom couldn't buy cleats that fit they made him play basketball.

Funny given my interest in trying to trade for him, but there are some similarities with Robert Williams, albeit a bit taller. Maybe a slightly smaller Derrick Lively?

Beringer over Malauch for me. I think the atl trade down and we take Beringer at 13 and Flemming or Traore or someone that slips at 20ish the second atl pick
